BIOPHILIA
“focuses on human's innate attraction to nature and natural processes. It suggests that we all have a genetic connection to the natural world built up through hundreds of thousands of years of living in agrarian settings.”
Throughout my design, I am utilizing natural materials, natural light and indoor greenery to create this connection of the human experience with the environment when riding a bicycle.
Poetry Study Takeaway from poetry People enjoy cycling because they can leave their worries behind them while riding and clear their mind. People enjoy riding a bike for the experience of being out in the fresh open air and breeze when riding People enjoy cycling because of the exercise that it offers. It is a good way to live a healthy and fit lifestyle.
How to implement into design
Traveling for leisure can help a person relax and leave their usual routine. By providing a comfortable space for guests, it will give them that sense of escape By utilizing the building’s existing balconies + Juliet balconies, guests can have fresh air and a breeze in their room and common spaces By incorporating elements from the WELL Building Concept, my design can promote a healthy lifestyle during their stay that can translate to everyday life.
Cycling is an activity that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Designing a space that can be accesible to everyone
People from young children to adults can ride a bike
is important. Everyone can experience the space and
and each have a different experience
what is has to offer.

is intended to promote guests to use the stairs rather than the elevator. This helps promote physical health in users. This idea goes along with the WELL Building concept since it “promotes movement, physical activity and active living and discourages sedentary behaviors through environmental design strategies, programs and policies.”
