Pick a variety of clothes with visual interest. Jeans, shorts, skirts, and mix up your outfits. Wear what you feel comportable in but also dress it up a little. Large chuncky jewlery that you might not wear everyday may be perfect in photos or video. It ads interest and something to draw the eye. Patterns, florals, and denim are all in right now so mix it up and have fun!
PREPPY & COLORFUL
CASUAL & BOHO
What a great colorful look for senior photos. This colorful outfit would be perfect for a session in downtown Minneapolis with all of the beautiful architecture and even at Spy House Coffee. Very Breakfast at Tiffany’s! Try pairing some key jewelry pieces with your outfit to pull it together, with a half up half down hairstyle and a nude lip color!
I love this look, it can really go anywhere and look awesome. Casual and carefree. It would be perfect at the Lyndale Park Peace Garden! This is an outfit you could go on a hike in and not worry. Shorts can be switched with any pants or leggings and still be super cute. Adorable with a messy bun or beach waves.
ELEGANT & GIRLY The lace brings such a perfect touch to this look, and I would even love a sparkly sequin top to take it over the top. You could wear this outfit at Minnehaha Falls at sunset or in downtown St. Paul and it would look fantastic. A messy fishtail braid to the side and a dark smokey eye would complete this look putting the cherry on top.
CLASSIC & TRENDY Favorite look! I love paring glam with casual, these ripped jeans and sparkly gold tank and shoes make my day. The black blazer is the icing on the cake. I can see this in downtown Minneapolis at the Stone Arch Bridge, or at the Schmitt Music building Mural! This look with amazing voluminous curls and a dark red lip, and an on point cat eye!
GUYS FA S H I O N
Keep it simple and comfortable. Wear stuff that you would normally wear and layer. Layers look awesome so a shirt with a polo, and then a jacket will look awesome and you can just take off layers for more looks. Get a variety of clothing types so casual, dressed up, and different colors help to make the looks stand out.
FAMILY FA S H I O N
Don’t be afraid of color and patterns, mixing and matching patterns with group photos can bring a lot of visual interest. A floral dress and a striped piece may look great together if they are tired with a common color. Try and pick one or two colors and pair it with a neutral color. Try not to put everyone in the same color, pattern, or outfit it distracts from the photo. And don’t forget about the jewlery for the girls, that can bring a lot into the photos with color and texture! Play with colors and take your surroundings into consideration when planning your photo or video.
