Unit 27 Task 2 Part 2 Nature In the following photo, I have taken a landscape photo of a flower pot to represent nature. You can see I have used a medium close up of the pot, as I wanted the audience to see the whole of the flower pot. The angle of this photo is straight, because you can see some of the background, and that really helps tie the photo together. I didn’t want as much of the background in show, because I want the main focus to be on the flower pot. I have used a sharp focus because I want the detail of the flowers to be seen.
This is a landscape photo of a tree, which I believe represents nature really well. I have used a close up for this photo because I want the audience to see the leaves on the tree clearly, as that’s the eye-catching part of the photo. I didn’t include a lot of the background because it wasn’t as interesting as the tree and wouldn’t help make this picture seem inviting. The angle for this photo is also a straight angle, as it shows off the majority of the tree. The following photo I have taken really portrays nature, as you can see the leaves in detail and the flowers. I have used a close up for this picture because I wanted all the details to be shown and to portray the colours. I haven’t included any background in this picture, because I wanted the focus to be purely on the leaves. I have zoomed in a little to really show off the details because I want people to see the beauty of nature through my pictures.
In the following photo, I have taken a high angle photo of some birds on grass. I believe that this represents nature because of the grass, mud and the birds. I have chosen a high angle be-cause it portrays all of the nature presented on the ground. The background shows some mud, which is also associated with nature and really helps emphasise nature in this photo. It tells the audience that there is a lot of nature presented in just one photo. Also, the lighting in this photo brings out the green in the grass, which helps show off the beauty of nature.
Man Made The following photo is a landscape photo of the London Eye, and I believe it represents Man Made because it is a landmark. I have used a low angle for this photo, as I wanted to include the majority of the London Eye. The landmark brings attention to the photo because of how famous it is. I have edited this photo to really bring out the colours, and to make it even more eye catching. I haven’t zoomed in for this picture because I wanted as much of the London Eye to be included. The trees in the background really helps tie the photo in and make it look really beautiful. In this photo, I have slightly used a low angle to present the cathedral. The reason for this is because I wanted to get the top part of the landmark, as it has so much detail. I haven’t zoomed into this photo because I wanted all of it to be included in the photo. I have also edited this photo to bring out the colours and to darken the sky, which I believe helps draw the attention on the cathedral. I wanted to include the trees because it makes the cathedral look inviting, and that will make people want to come and visit this place. This photo I have taken is of the Tower Bridge, and I believe it represents Man Made because again it is a famous landmark. I have used a wide angle in this photo because I wanted to include other things besides the Tower Bridge. I wanted to include the water fountain because it helps bring attention to the photo, and I believe it ties the picture together. I have edited this photo slightly, to darken the sky, as it helps make the bridge look clearer and helps display the detail of it. In this photo, I have taken a picture of different landmarks in London, which I believe represents Man Made. I have zoomed in on the landmarks and have only included the sky, as I believe it helps bring attention to the landmarks. I have edited this photo to bring out the colours and to make it eye catching for the audience. I have used a straight angle because all of the landmarks are in line with each other. The photo consists of a sharp focus because I want the landmarks to be clearly shown and in detail.
Diversity I have chosen this photo to represent diversity, because it includes people of different race and culture. The people included in this photo are the main focus, and that is why I have used a sharp focus. I didn’t want to zoom in for this image, as I wanted to include all 4 of them to present the diversity and that is why I used a straight angle. I have edited this image to help make the colours really sharp and eye catching. I haven’t included a lot of the background because the main focus is of the 4 people and nothing else.
I believe that this image helps represent diversity because it again includes people that have different cultures and are of different race. I believe it is important to include anyone in photos no matter their race, gender, age etc. I didn’t want to zoom in because I wanted to include as many people in the photo as possible. That is why this photo is a landscape and not a portrait. I only edited the photo to make the sky more prominent, which helps make the image more eye catching. I have included this photo for diversity because it has a Black woman running her own business at the London Bourgh market. I think it is important to include any person no matter their race, and that is why I have included this image. I have included her food from the stand because it brings colour to the image and it ties in with her sign of the stool. The woman’s coat is also colourful and goes well with the colour scheme of the image. I have chosen a straight angle for this image because I wanted to include a lot of things, and that is why this is a landscape photo. The following photo includes people from different cultures and countries in the London Bough market. I believe that this image represents diversity because it includes people from all over the world. The London Bough market is a great place to see people from all over the world, and it tells people that anyone is welcome anywhere. That is why I wanted to include this image. I have used a straight angle to present everyone present at the stalls that I took the picture at, and that is why I didn’t zoom in.
Patterns I believe that this image represents patterns because of how unusual it is and unique. I have used a low angle for this image because I wanted the whole building to be included, so people could see the whole pattern. I have edited this image because I wanted the sky to be darker which helps make the building look eye catching and inviting. There is a lot going on in this image with the different patterns, and I believe that this means this image is a great way to present patterns.
This image is of a bench in London which I believed displayed an interesting pattern. I used a straight angle to present the pattern, so as much of the bench was showed and that was why I didn’t want to zoom in on the image. That is also why this image is a landscape and not a portrait because it was more suitable. When editing the image, I decided to darken the edges, so that it drew the audience in on the bench.
I have chosen this image from the Skate Park to represent patterns because of the different art on the walls. This is a different kind of pattern compared to my other example’s and I wanted to show the different types of patterns there are in the world, and how creative people can be. I darkened this image a lot because it brought out the colours on the walls and really made the image eye catching and unique. This is a landscape photo because of how much art there is on the wall.
This is an image of Lara standing in front of a wall covered in hearts and circles. I have chosen this image to represent patterns because it is again different from my other examples and it is really colourful and eye catching. It presents to people the different art and patterns that are in London. I have taken this image as a portrait, so people are able to see the art on the wall in full. There is some rule of thirds in this image with Lara standing in the corner, telling people that she isn’t the main focus of the image, but the art is.
