OLLI Hot
Topics Luncheon
Hosted by OLLI West
Friday, March 10, 2017 11:30 am – 1:30 pm In the years since the Global Financial Crisis, central banks such as the U.S. Federal Reserve have injected many trillions of dollars into the worldwide financial system in an attempt to boost their economies. This monetary stimulus affects all aspects of an economy, including the divide between rich and poor. In this session, Matthew Hergott will highlight key issues regarding large-scale monetary interventions. In contrast to previous presentations Mr. Hergott delivered to OLLI, this luncheon will focus on how monetary stimulus shapes the regional Colorado economy through tourism, energy, housing costs and other factors. Mr. Hergott has over 15 years of experience in investments and economic analysis. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and has been a CFA Ž Charterholder since 2001.
