DAYS

Daily arrivals from April 15 to October 15 2 nights Athens • 3 nights Santorini • 3 nights Mykonos

Season and hotel selection will determine the cost of your recommended honeymoon package. We have a wide selection of hotels that we confidently recommend to honeymoon couples. In Athens we also recommend deluxe hotels in a suburb of Athens called Vouliagmeni, where you can enjoy the waters of the Saronic Gulf, yet still be only 30 minutes (by taxi) from the center of Athens. Call for an itinerary, included services and an immediate quote with a written proposal.

quintessential Greek island. Hundreds of tiny chapels dot this blue and whitewashed island with its beautiful windmills. Find a table on the waterfront and bask in the serenity of sunset over its picturesque harbor. From sandy beaches to a diverse and intense night life, Mykonos has something for everyone.

Day 2

Day 6-8

Athens City Tour • Acropolis Visit the Acropolis, the crowning beauty and glory of Ancient Athens, with its many monuments atop its rocky base. These include the awesome Parthenon, the Propylea, the temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion, with its porch of Maidens. Drive to the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Panathinaikon Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896), and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament House on Constitution Square. Drive along Panepistimiou Avenue and view the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, University, and National Library. In contrast, conclude your tour with a visit to the new Acropolis museum, a marvel of architecture with a full exhibition recalling the glory of Ancient Athens (closed on Mondays). Enjoy a leisurely afternoon. Day 3-5

Mykonos • Santorini The island of Santorini is perhaps the most breathtaking of all the Greek Islands. The island is what remains of an enormous volcanic explosion, forming a steeply sided caldera around a central lagoon. In the town of Fira white-washed houses, narrow streets, open-air cafés and glittering boutiques cling to steep cliffs, accessible by cable-car or mule. Day 9 home.

Day 2

Istanbul Enjoy a leisurely morning. In the afternoon, your tour will take you to the Topkapi Palace which, from the 15th to 19th century, was the principle residence of the Ottoman Sultans. It’s now a museum, boasting unrivaled collections of jewelry and one of the finest collections of Chinese ceramics. But perhaps the loveliest features of the Palace are the ancient trees of its courtyards. You’ll visit the fabulous Imperial Treasury the Baghdad Kiosk, and the Imperial Armory with its displays of many centuries worth of Ottoman weaponry. You’ll marvel at the Suleymaniye Mosque, which is the largest and grandest of the Ottoman Empire, dating back to the 16th century. It was designed by Sinan, the greatest architect of his day. On days when the Suleymaniye Mosque is closed for renovations, you’ll visit the Rustem Pasha Mosque, another masterpiece by Sinan. It has the most exquisite and extensive Iznik tile decoration of any mosque in Istanbul. Istanbul In the morning, you’ll begin your tour of the Sultanahmet District. Saint Sophia was built by Emperor Justinian in the 6th century A.D. Its massive dome dominates the skyline of Old Istanbul. Next, you’ll visit the Blue Mosque, which owes its name to the exquisite tiles adorning its interior, and which is the only imperial mosque boasting six minarets. Then, it’s on to the Hippodrome a stadium dating back to the days of Byzantium. The Grand Bazaar was the commercial heart of the old city, and its 4,000 shops are full of treasures, from carpets and kilims, to ceramics, icons and leather goods. On Mondays, when Saint Sophia is closed, you’ll visit the Chora Church, famed for its mosaics and frescoes. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon.
