HONOR AWARDS

to design an extensive automated system for the facility. This automation allowed for facility centralization, and low numbers of operators being able to manage the large facility. This automation system also worked to reduce loading and unloading times. Due to the constant presence of grain dust, elevated working conditions, high vehicle traffic, and high automation, the facility would have constant hazardous conditions to users and equipment. All designs were made with operator safety and facility safety in mind. These safety precautions included additional emergency lighting systems, lockable disconnecting means in central locations, and heavy-duty equipment enclosures. KPE persevered through supply chain complications and changing equipment requirements to successfully complete the $22 Million dollar facility. overall goals of sustainability and carbon footprint reduction.
