Nel modello originale creato dal Cavaliere Simoni alloggiava un piccolo termometro clinico attualmente non più presente. Decorazioni liberty dello scultore Federico Monti abbelliscono il serbatoio ed incorniciano il bastone di Esculopio. L’omaggio all’Arte e al genio Italiano, a 450 anni dalla scomparsa e alla vigilia dei 540 anni dalla nascita, parte da una rima che lo stesso Michelangelo ci ha lasciato.Il progetto legato all’anniversario di Michelangelo ci ha indirizzato sin da subito verso la convinzione di dover realizzare qualcosa di speciale, qualcosa di unico, qualcosa che mai, sino ad oggi, OMAS aveva realizzato.Per questo motivo abbiamo cercato la collaborazione con l’Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore di Firenze, che ci ha guidato nei luoghi che raccontano la storia di Michelangelo e che ci ha saputo raccontare l’uomo e l’artista. All’Opera ed al Suo Presidente vanno i nostri ringraziamenti, unitamente al contributo nanziario, che per ogni Edizione Limitata acquistata, andrà a sostegno dell’Opera stessa.E’ stato un percorso creativo tanto difficile, quanto ricco di suggestioni no all’interpretazione nale del soggetto, con la scelta di rendere omaggio a Michelangelo come lui stesso amava de nirsi: uno scultore, prima ancora di essere un pittore, un architetto, un poeta.La sua poetica della scultura, racchiusa nella rima 151, dove il ruolo dell’artista viene riconosciuto in colui che libera la forma nascosta all’interno della materia ha segnato concettualmente lo sviluppo del nostro percorso.E’ dunque con il marmo, rigorosamente di Carrara, che comincia la storia del nostro strumento di scrittura e che racchiude, al suo interno, la scultura d’ispirazione Michelangiolesca. This tribute to Art and to Italian genius begins, 450 years after his death and on the eve of 540 years since his birth, thanks to a rhyme that Michelangelo himself left us. The project related to Michelangelo Anniversary immediately convinced us of the need to create something special, something unique, something that had never been done at Omas before. For this reason we have welcomed the collaboration with the “Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore” in Florence, which has driven us to the signi cant places that tell the story of Michelangelo and has described us the man and the Artist. To the “Opera” and his President we address our gratitidue, and we are now pleased to support the “Opera” itself with the nancial contribution that will come from each sold Limited Edition. It has been a difficult creative path, as rich in character until the last interpretation of the Limited Edition, that culminated with the choice to pay homage to Michelangelo as he liked to de ne himself: to be a sculptor, even before being a painter, an architect, a poet. His poetry on sculpture, enclosed in rhyme 151, where the role of the artist is recognized in the man who unveils the shape hidden inside the material, has conceptually led the development of our homage. Therefore it is with the marble, from Carrara rigorously, which begins the story of our writing instrument and that contains, within it, the sculpture of Michelangelo inspiration.

I pennini OMAS 18K, disponibili in undici punte, consentono un'elevata adattabilità allo stile e alle modalità di scrittura di ciascuna persona. Il pennino 18K può essere realizzato in oro giallo, rodiato argentato o bicolore. Il bicolore è ottenuto immergendo il pennino in una soluzione di rodio, le parti in oro giallo vengono ricoperte di vernice rossa prima dell'immersione e ritrovano il loro splendore grazie alla pulizia ad ultrasuoni. OMAS produce anche speciali pennini in oro 18K, dedicati agli amanti della calligra a, come lo Stub, l'Italico e l'Obliquo. Il pennino Stub è caratterizzato da un tratto molto uente, l'Italico da un'estrema adattabilità data dall'assenza della sfera di iridio nella punta. I pennini Obliqui, invece, si contraddistinguono per le punte angolate, create per assecondare anche gli stili di scrittura più particolari: OMAS offre tre pennini obliqui con taglio angolato a destra (OMD, OBD e OBBD) ed uno angolato a sinistra (OM) realizzato appositamente per i mancini.
OMAS 18K gold nibs, available in eleven different sizes, are characterized by an elevated adaptability to each persons handwriting and writing pressure. The 18K gold nibs can be totally yellow gold, rhodiated, giving it therefore a silvery colour, or even two-toned. The two-toned nib is obtained by covering the yellow parts of the nib with a protective coat of red paint when dipped in the rhodium solution and its original glow returns once cleaned using ultra-sound frequencies. OMAS also produces 18K gold specialty nibs dedicated to the lovers of calligraphy, such as the Stub, Italic and Oblique nibs. The Stub nib is characterized by a smooth stroke and the Italic one by its extreme adaptability given by the absence of the iridium spot at its the end. The Oblique nibs have an angled tip grounded on either side to suit even the more particular writing techniques. OMAS offers three right-angled nibs (OMD, OBD and OBBD) and one left-angled nib (OM) special for left-handed writers.

Il primo pennino OMAS fu disegnato e prodotto nel 1918. Le grandi capacità tecniche di Armando Simoni, il Fondatore, ne fecero subito uno dei modelli più apprezzati e ricercati. L’incredibile essibilità, la pronta adattabilità alla mano, ottenute con una lunga serie di minuziose e so sticate lavorazioni, lo caratterizzano sin dall’inizio. Prodotto in oro 14K, fu poi, a partire dal 1983, fabbricato in oro 18K per seguire l’evoluzione di un mercato sempre più internazionale e mutate abitudini di scrittura. Riallacciandosi a quella grande tradizione, OMAS produrrà d’ora innanzi, annualmente, una limitata tiratura di pennini extra essibili in oro 14K, nelle punte EF, F, M, B, un omaggio per coloro che hanno esigenze speci che o che amano ritrovare la dolcezza del tratto e il piacere dell’autentica calligra a nel XXI secolo.
EXTRA FLEXIBLE 14K GOLD NIBS
The rst OMAS nib was designed and manufactured in 1918. The enormous technical ability of Armando Simoni, the founder of the company, ensured that it was immediately one of the most prestigious and sought after models. The incredible exibility and easy adaptability to the hand, obtained after a long series of minute and sophisticated machining operations, characterizes this particular nib since its creation. Initially manufactured from 14K gold, from 1983 onwards the nib was made from 18K gold to follow the developments of an increasingly international market and changed writing habits. Following the footsteps of this wonderful tradition, OMAS has decided to annually produce a limited number of extra exible nibs made from 14K gold with a choice of nib sizes including EF, F, M and B. This is a tribute to those with speci c demands and those who like to nd again the softness of the pen stroke and the pleasure of genuine handwriting in the XXI century.
