REDUCED FARE ELIGIBILITY Seniors, Disability, Medicare Proof of Eligibility Senior citizens, age 62 and older must show a valid driverâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s license, DMV card, Medicare Card or Omnitrans Reduced Fare ID. Persons with disabilities must show an Omnitrans Reduced Fare ID card, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) card, Medicare card or current disability photo ID card from another transit agency. Senior and Disability ID Cards Omnitrans issued Senior and Disability ID Cards are available for seniors and qualified person with disabilities. To get an application, call (909)379-7100 or visit omnitrans.org. Once you have received an application, fill it out and mail it to the address listed on the application. Be sure to include a copy of your qualifying identification, and a recent wallet sized photo, plus a $2 processing fee, in the form of a check or money order, made out to: ScreenCheck North America. Your approved ID card will be mailed directly to you within 10 business days. Please note there is a $5 replacement fee for lost or stolen cards. Veterans Proof of eligibility such as County of San Bernardino Military Veterans ID card, US Dept. of Veterans Affairs ID card, DMV ID/Driver license with Veteran designation, Dept. of Defense retired ID card or a transit agency Veterans ID card is required. Uniformed Active Military, Police and Fire Personnel Active duty military, police or fire personnel ride free on all of Omnitrans, sbX and OmniGo buses. (Not available on Access curb-to-curb service.) Active duty military personnel must wear the appropriate uniform at the time of boarding and present a valid U.S. Uniformed Services ID card indicating active service or a Common Access card indicating unformed services or active duty. TRANSFERS: Foothill, RTA, VVTA, Mountain and Pass Transit Omnitrans does not issue transfers to its passengers. If you need to change buses to complete your trip, or need to travel past the end of the line on a route, you will have to pay another fare when you board the next bus, unless you purchase a 1-Day, 7-Day or 31-Day pass.

You may use your Omnitrans pass as a free transfer to Foothill Transit at the Montclair Transit Center and the Pomona Transit Center. You may use your Omnitrans pass to transfer free to Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) where Omnitrans and RTA bus stops connect, such as the VA Hospital in Loma Linda, Mulberry and Marlay in Fontana, the Riverside Transit Center and the Highgrove Library in Riverside County. Omnitrans accepts Victor Valley Transit Authority’s, (VVTA) Mountain Transit’s and Pass Transit’s multi-use passes as a free transfer at points of connection. Each of these agencies provide Omnitrans valid and current multi-use pass holders with a $1 discount on passes or tickets available only onboard partner agency buses at a point of connection.

TAP CARDS TAP cards are accepted fare payment methods for Southern California transit agencies such as Metro, Santa Clarita Transit, Culver Citybus, Antelope Valley Transit Authority, Foothill Transit, Norwalk Transit and Montebello Transit. Passengers using a TAP card can receive a free transfer onto an Omnitrans bus only where Foothill Transit and Omnitrans connect, AND when the TAP card is accompanied by a paper transfer issued by Foothill Transit. An Orange Disability and Senior TAP card can be used as ID to qualify for a reduced fare onboard Omnitrans buses, but it cannot be used to ride Omnitrans Access Service.

METROLINK TRANSFER POLICY

You may use your one-way Metrolink ticket for one free ride on an Omnitrans bus departing a Metrolink station. You can also use your round trip Metrolink ticket or multi-day pass for one Omnitrans bus trip to and from a Metrolink station. Metrolink ticket/pass must be valid for date of travel. Expired passes not accepted. Show to driver when boarding. Valid on connecting routes only. Please Note: Metrolink does not accept bus passes for discount train fare. TARJETAS TAP

Las tarjetas TAP son métodos de pago de tarifas aceptados por agencias de tránsito del Sur de California como Metro, Santa Clarita Transit, Culver Citybus, Antelope Valley Transit Authority, Foothill Transit, Norwalk Transit y Montebello Transit. Los pasajeros que usen una tarjeta TAP pueden recibir un combinación gratuita con un autobús de Omnitrans sólo donde se conectan Foothill Transit y Omnitrans, Y cuando la tarjeta TAP está acompañada por una combinación en papel emitida por Foothill Transit. Omni Bus Pass

BOARDING WITH A BICYCLE Regular Omnitrans buses are equipped with a bike rack on the front bumper that can hold two or three bikes. Bike racks can be used free of charge. Tire size must be at least 20â&#x20AC;? in diameter, which excludes most childrenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s bikes and motorized scooters. Children under age 14 can only use the racks if accompanied by a bus-riding adult. Omnitrans is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged bikes. Owners assume all risk for transported bikes and are responsible for loading and unloading bikes. Bikes are not allowed inside regular buses. For safety reasons, your driver is not allowed to help load or unload your bike. Bike Loading and Unloading Steps: 1. Have your bike at the curb ready to load. Signal to your driver. Wait for the bus to come to a complete stop and then tell your driver you will be loading a bike. 2. Go to the front of the bus and lower the bike rack from the folded position. 3. Lift your bike onto the rack and raise the support arm over the front tire. 4. Before exiting, tell your driver you want to unload the bike. To unload, pull the support arm out and down over the front tire, lift your bike onto the curb, fold the rack up to the locked position, step away from bus and signal the driver when you are finished. sbX Bike Loading 1. Board your bike using the door closest to the rear of the vehicle. Look for symbol on the doors. the

USING THE MOBILITY DEVICE LIFT/RAMP Omnitrans buses are equipped with ramps to board passengers with wheelchair and other mobility devices. OmniGo and Access vehicles have lifts. Omnitrans buses can also “kneel” on request for easier boarding by orthopedically-challenged riders. BOARDING • Wait at the bus stop and indicate to the driver that you need to use the lift/ramp. The ramp is located at the front of the bus; just look for the wheelchair symbol on the bus door. • Position yourself to be in the clear as it deploys. Your coach operator will let you know when it’s safe to move on to the ramp. • Wait for the driver to tell you to move on to the lift/ramp platform. If you are using the lift, set the brake on your wheelchair or mobility device once you have boarded; if you are standing, hold onto the handrails for support. • When you’re all set, pay your fare and give your coach operator your destination. This will help to ensure that the bus is positioned correctly at the stop, so that you can conveniently exit the bus. WHO MAY NOT USE THE RAMP? • Riders with retail shopping carts, wagons or regular baby strollers. Drivers will make every attempt to accommodate the rider’s mobility device. The mobility device must safely fit onto the lift platform and the lift must be able to safely raise the mobility device and its occupant. Service can be refused If the mobility device and its occupant cannot safely utilize the lift to board the vehicle. In according with the Code of Federal Regulation 49, Subpart G, 37.165 (c) 1.3, your coach operator will secure your mobility device with clamps or straps that are stored on all buses. Coach Operators will decline to provide service to a rider who refuses to allow his or her mobility device to be secured. EXITING • When the bus stops, please be patient as your coach operator allows other customers to exit the bus. Your mobility device will be released from its safety clamp/belts before other passengers are allowed to board. • When exiting, wait until the lift/ramp has reached the ground and if using OmniGo or Access, wait until the safety barrier has dropped before moving off the platform. sbX sbX stations offer level boarding with bridge plates to span the gap between platform and vehicle. There are two wheelchair securement locations per bus, each equipped with devices which hold the wheelchairs safely in place. Operators provide securement assistance as needed. Lap/shoulder belts are available upon request.

SERVICE ANIMALS Designated service animals are welcome to ride the bus free of charge. Please note that your driver may ask if your animal is a service animal, and what tasks the animal has been trained to perform. You also may be asked to remove your service animal from the bus if 1) the animal’s behavior is out of control, and you do not take effective action to control it; or 2) the animal poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others. Pets may only ride the bus if they are in a secure pet carrier that fits on your lap.

También se le puede solicitar que retire a su animal de servicio del autobús si 1) el comportamiento del animal está fuera de control y usted no toma medidas efectivas para controlarlo; o 2) el animal representa una amenaza directa para la salud o la seguridad de otras personas. The maps on these pages show you where bus stops are located at each transit center or transfer center, as well as which routes serve each stop.

The San Bernardino Transit Center (SBTC) is the transfer point for Omnitrans local and express routes, sbX, Riverside Transit Agency (RTA), and Mountain Transit, Pass Transit and Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) and Metrolink. Outside features include shaded bus shelters, digital bus arrival signs, and an on site security staff and cameras, monitored 24/7. The lobby has a walk-up customer service counter where passes can be purchased for sbX, Mountain Transit and VVTA. SBTC also has digital information screens, public restrooms and NexTrip bus arrival information. 10
