Education

MSc. Building Information Modelling and Digital Transformation | University of Liverpool Liverpool, United Kingdom September 2023 – September 2024

Bachelor of Architecture | I.E.S. College of Architecture

Mumbai, India

June 2017 – April 2022

Work Experience

Revit Mentor | University of Liverpool

Feb 2024 – April 2024

Guided third year architecture students along with three other team members in introducing capabilities of Revit as an BIM authoring tool by providing hands-on training and personalised support. We collaboratively developed and delivered curriculum materials for students, contributing to their academic and professional success in architecture and design. Improved communication and troubleshooting skills by 15% through proactive interaction with students to resolve queries effectively.

Jr. BIM Lead | Studio4 Consultants, Mumbai

July 2022 – Aug 2023

Tasked with working alongside the BIM team to develop BIM models for architectural, interior and landscape purposes while following industry best practices. Additionally, supported in producing and overseeing BIM documentation and tender drawings. Worked on diversity of projects including

• Navi Mumbai International Airport (Scope - Interior Design)

• ARIPL - Battery Recycling Plant, Chennai (Scope - Industrial Design)

• Godrej Centre, Pune (Scope -Landscape Design)

Demonstrated significant expertise post Navi Mumbai International Airport project, achieving a 20% reduction in BIM-based modelling and documentation timelines across the subsequent projects. Ensured uncompromised model quality and accuracy, underscoring a commitment to efficient and precise project delivery.

Architectural

Intern | Daisaria Associates, Mumbai

Projects

Integrating BIM and Generative Design for Multi-objective Optimisation in the Conceptual Design

Stage – Dissertation, Semester 3

June 2024 – September 2024

The research explores the integration of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and generative design to enhance collaborative design exploration. A systematic literature review was conducted using Scopus and Web of Science databases, with the PRISMA statement methodology for 24 studies. This was followed by thematic analysis, where the secondary data from these studies was qualitatively analysed and synthesised across four identified themes to derive the findings. These findings revealed the need for multi-disciplinary communication through collaborative tools for design space definition, graph-based systems for solution generation, and visualisation capabilities for evaluation. Finally, a structured framework was developed to generate, evaluate, and optimise design solutions, leading to more informed and collaborative decision-making during the conceptual stage.

Integrated BIM Project – Academic Project, Semester 2

January 2024 – May 2024

The objectives of the project was to examine the interoperability between Revit and Archicad by creating detailed 3D models in bothsoftwarepackages, conductingmodelcomparisons, andperformingqualityassurancethroughmodelchecking inSolibriOffice and 4D simulation in Synchro Pro Use of common data environments (ACC & BIMcloud) while modelling enabled collaborative working of team members leading to efficient modelling workflow, that helped to reduce modelling errors and time by around 40%. The project highlighted the importance of open standards that facilitates data exchange seamlessly. Systematic documentation of processes, findings, and conclusions was maintained at each level.

Parametric Self-Shading Brick Design – Academic Project, Semester 2

January 2024 – May 2024

Developed a design system for mortar-free, self-shading masonry walls using parametric tools and digital fabrication for hot climates. Utilised Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper, and plug-ins like Ladybug, PhysX and Galapagos for solar analysis and stability simulation and optimisation. Designed nine models, evaluated six models based on aesthetics and sustainability Further, the selected model was optimised based on form and orientation. The optimal designs were fabricated using a UR-10 robotic arm with different materials. Results showed 21-29% solar radiation reduction, enhancing energy efficiency and adaptability in varied orientations.

Navi Mumbai International Airport – Professional Practice

July 2022 – May 2023

Worked with interior design team during the detailed design stage for BIM implementation of Terminal 1 building (Phase 1). The main objective of the team was to develop and update information in the model while transitioning from schematic design stage to detailed design stage I was assigned to execute and deliver various packages related to interior design which included General Arrangement plans, Stainless Steel works and Area plans. Moreover, I participated in the client meetings and helped the team with modelling, creating families, sheet filing, preparing presentations and area schedules
