Understanding the functional zoning and planning requirements of a public building, such as a Municipal Corporation Building, is made possible by the studio. Recognize the historical background of the current VMC Building and preserve its essential qualities in the newly built VMC building, in a modern environment. Re-imagine the conventional mixed-use complex in light of the site’s existing climatic, cultural, and urban design contexts.

Where

Who

Locals from low to high income groups, regardless of religion, colour, caste, sex, etc., would often arrive in the city. On various occasions, such as during protests, meetings, and other gatherings, numerous politicians, the media, and the general people would enter the building.

How

Designed to make it simpler for the public to discover the department they require in the shortest amount of time. The blocks are all physically and visibly related to one another. The way the blocks are put together has a creative quality that draws people in and inspires them to utilise it.

GRAND ENTRANCE

A feeling of grandness while public is coming inside .

JALI WALL

Placed near parking to allow natural light and air come in throughout the day .

TRIPLE HEIGHT

A huge triple height space is just after entrance to have visual connectivity from first floor to top floor & also maximum air flow is achieved .

All blocks are visually connected and physically connected by pathways .

Atrium

Covered opening at top of building for shaded light and prevent from rain water.
