University Highlights

The University of Reading is home to more than 20,000 students from around 150 countries. The University offers a wide range of programmes, from the pure and applied sciences to languages, humanities, social sciences, business and arts.

In recent years, there has been £500 million investment in student accommodation, teaching and research facilities.

The main campus, Whiteknights, is set in 130 hectares of beautiful parkland. It has won nine Green Flag awards and is one of the top public spaces in the UK.

Reading Festival is one of the best known in the UK, with more than 105,000 fans flocking to see some of the biggest names in music.

The London Road campus has seen a redevelopment of £30 million into a new teaching environment for the 21st century.

The University was also awarded the distinguished Queen’s Anniversary Prize in 2011.

The SportsPark, which features extensive indoor and outdoor facilities, includes the 145-station VO2 fitness studio.

21st in the UK for Economics and Econometrics (Out of all UK institutions included in the QS World University Rankings by Subject, 2020)

13th in the UK for Pharmacy (Guardian University Guide, 2020)

15th for BA Graphic Communication (Guardian University Guide, 2020)

No.1 for research in Typography & Graphic Communication*
