Master’s Foundation Programme (MFP
The Master’s Foundation Programme is available as a two or three-term programme, offering opportunity to progress1 to a wide range of Master’s degrees.

All 2 and 3-term students will study English for Academic Purposes, two core modules and specialist modules relevant to your chosen progression degree.
Core modules: Research Project Postgraduate Skills Development
3-term students will study two further subjects; 2-term students one further subject.

Entry criteria
English level:
5.5 IELTS
From 5.5 IELTS or equivalent, with no single element lower than 5.5 for the 3-term MFP.
From 6.0 IELTS or equivalent, with no single element lower than 6.0 for the 2-term MFP.
An extended programme is available if you do not have the required English language level. This programme lasts 4 terms and includes an English language module (ELPP) followed by 3 terms of MFP. Successful completion of bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised university.

² You may be offered a 2, 3 or 4 term programme depending on your English level and academic background. By the end of the first term of the extended programme, you will need to meet the English entry requirements of the main programme with an internal IELTS exam.

All programmes are subject to a £300 registration fee and £2,200 deposit which will be offset against the last term’s fees; 3.5 term programmes consist of English language during the first 0.5 term, although some academic content may be included.
