Introduction

London Design Studio was established in January 2014 founded by a passion to create unique, beautifully, tailored interiors. Although recently founded, London Design Studio possess a wealth of experience in luxury design and has delivered some of the most prestigious interior and architectural commissions in the worlds most discerning post codes. Our experience is unrivalled, and our vision is clear.

Design Philosophy

Our approach to design is simple; Symmetry, Balance, Proportion & Order. Its these key fundamentals that form the foundation of our philosophy. In Parallel our carefully structured design process allows us to produce designs for interior spaces to the highest achievable level. It’s this formula which allows London Design Studio to be considered leaders in luxury design.

Understanding the Brand

Our approach to design is simple.

Symmetry, Balance, Proportion & Order. These key components are essential to the creation of exceptional design. To demonstrate this approach through our branding we turned to natures answer on this brief, a butterfly. Symmetrical, intrinsic detail, and always unique.

Design Philosophy / Appraisal and Brief

The initial design process is a method we have devised to ensure that we have understood the clients requirements. Our team, carefully select considered images which help convey the story of the general design language paired with the core material selection. These images help construct the spirit of any commission, as at this juncture we are building the foundations for the full concept design.

Design Philosophy / Appraisal and Brief

Stage 1 / Appraisal and Brief: We will evaluate your brief in detail and the project constraints and opportunities, this will include a strategic appraisal for the development of the concept. -

Briefing Meeting to be help to go through all the requirements in detail

-

Design Philosophy / Concept Design

At this point we will be taking the information gathered from the previous stage and begin to further develop the design. The design is demonstrated in various ways starting from the construction of a full working 3D model. This method of working is referred to as building information management, which provides a platform for all parties to fully understand and resolve often complex designs. Examples of the 3D models can be seen at www.onelondondesignstudio.com. Once we have approval on the general design direction shown through the 3D model we will produce a set of CGI images that add a further level of detail capturing the outline FF&E specification and material palettes. Design Philosophy / Concept Design

Stage 2 / Concept Design: We will develop the concept in line with the approved look and feel and communicate these clearly for each presentation. -

Prepare intial concept visuals to explain the design proposal clearly

-

Development of the Material Palette with both 2D images and Physical Samples

-

Develop the outline FF&E selection style and direction

Design Philosophy / CGI Visuals

Once we have approval on the initial concept our team of visualisers will produce a photo realistic image to the absolute highest possible level. Our team of visualisers at London Design Studio are without doubt the most talented in the United Kingdom. Silks, inlaid brass, lacquers, all come together in several beautifully prepared images, which completely unlock the essence of each design commission. It’s through this pursuit of complete perfection which ensures that London Design Studio are considered the very best luxury design house.

Design Philosophy / Technical Design

Our designs are fully bespoke, so technical craft and details are integral to our philosophy. The technical team at London Design Studio have master minded some of the world’s most prestigious projects, working alongside the UK’s leading manufactures. It’s this insessent pursuit of perfection which polishes off the work we create.

Design Philosophy / Technical Design

Stage 3 (D) – Developed Design: We will evolve the concept design further into technical design. We will refine the general spatial arrangement and begin to integrate the basic services. 01. Space planning and implementing the design principles from stage 2 02. Coordination with other appointed consultants 03. Prepare General Arrangement Plans as listed below 04. Prepare Outline Schedules for the scheme 05. Prepare typical details ready for roll-out by technical architect 06. Prepare relevant elevations @ 1:20 sufficient to translate the design by technical architect for construction roll-out

Our Work

Project Victoria Project King Project Royal Project Polo Project Crown Project Deco

Project Victoria

A key elevation with a striking fireplace with provides a truly exceptional feature. Honed black marble with brass inlays help provide a sophisticated elegant style which is truly unique design. The ceiling has a more classical design with beautiful gypsum details, which tie in with the general aesthetic of the property.

Project Victoria

The second image looks back towards the windows which demonstrates how much natural light floods into the Formal Reception. To soften the interior we have dropped silk voiles in the window apertures which is offset by the elegant black lacquered surrounds.

Project Victoria

The Formal Dining room continues the same design style to create a truly exceptional entertaining space. In the apertures we have created brass display cabinets to showcase wines and diner sets. In the concealed CUPDS we have Wine Fridges for chilling champagnes and white wines. Every aspect has been considered to create a remarkable experience.

Project Victoria

The second image shows a different view of the Dining Room which captures the design from a new vantage point.

Project Victoria

The Family Living Room is light, simple, elegant and comfortable. The fire place design helps to connect the Ground Floor to First Floor through a continued design language. Subtle gypsum details help to create a design style that connects the interior design to the aesthetic of the property. Finally a silk carpet sits as an island with a marble border which helps to soften the Family Living creating a relaxed environment.

Project Victoria

The Family Kitchen is an extension of the Sitting Room so aesthetically both areas work holistically together. The rear joinery integrates the kitchen equipment so all elements are completely concealed to create a clean modern feel.

Project King

Our vision was to create a space that captures and enhances the essence of the outstanding natural beauty that surrounds the Royal Palace. We created a design for Her Highness that is modern, refined, and timeless; a design which creates theatre with every sunrise and every sunset. A place which is soft and relaxing by day, but dazzles with sophisticated beauty at night. Our design for the Royal Majlis is truly unique.

Project Royal

Our brief was to create a refined and timeless interior. To achieve this we created a scheme by insetting polished brass into black lacquered doors, we covered the columns in dropped crystal chandeliers to create a dramatic central feature. Elegant furniture was selected, anchored on a silk carpet, all below a truly beautiful ceiling feature, which comes together to create a truly remarkable setting. Like all magnificent things, it’s very simple. Simplicity; it is the ultimate sophistication

Project Albert

The Garden and Pool area has been designed to create the feeling of a private luxury resort which was possible through the large plot the property falls on. The main seating area has been sunken to allow the swimming pools infinity edge to create an incredible back drop to this space which as night when lit will look incredible. Both the Formal and Informal Living areas open up onto the Garden linking the Internal and External parts of the house.

Project Polo / Formal Reception

The Polo Villa is a project which combines classic details with modern under tones. The mirrored ceiling helps create the illusion of height, whilst providing a reflective surface to create additional natural light, all set around soft white and grey marble, book matched throughout.

Project Polo / Main Kitchen

Rich dark timber is used to create a modern and elegant kitchen design, set against the back drop of beautiful and carefully selected marble. The modern simple details work perfectly with the refined furniture with the glass leaf chandelier adding an injection of luxury over the central island unit

Project Polo / Master Bedroom

The silk carpet provides an island on which the refined and elegant bespoke furniture sits. The mirrored panels either side of the silk head board present a playful back drop to reflect light creating warmth and depth throughout. The wall panels provide a sophisticated hardscape which contracts the soft materials palette.

Project Polo / Master Bathroom

Sophisticated but subtle details within the marble elements, helps to create a refined and elegant space. Brass displays help cast a layer of richness over the soft white and grey colour pallet to provide a space that is perfect to relax.

Project Crown / Formal Reception

The Society CafÊ: A new dining concept built around the idea of the famous 1930’s Parisian Restaurant. Polished brass screens sit against polished white tiles creating contrast between chic and contemporary. Carefully selected furniture, upholstered in vivid colours create a relaxed but chic atmosphere which opens November 2016.

Project Crown / Formal Reception

Inlaid polished brass trims create simple frames to upholstered silk wall panels, which in turn sit above a striking marble panelled wall detail. The white onyx fire place presents a truly stunning feature on the key elevation, which intelligently bridges the gaps between modern and classic.

Project Crown / Ladies Majlis

Inlaid polished brass trims create simple frames to upholstered silk wall panels, which in turn sit above a striking marble panelled wall detail. The white onyx fire place presents a truly stunning feature on the key elevation, which intelligently bridges the gaps between modern and classic.

Project Albert

taken looking back across the pool towards the viewing area. The overall aesthetic is refined and elegant with modern elements layered with in to create a truly amazing pool and spa environment. Light materials help to create an atmosphere of relaxation but still a place to be which can be enjoyed by family’s. The visual has been created as an evening scene to demonstrate the interior lighting which gives the spa that warm glow.

Project Albert

The second image is taken from within the viewing area looking back out over the pool and clipping the entrance to the gym. The pool and viewing area are separated by a modern piece of low iron glass to ensure complete clarity into the pool area. In the fore ground we have the turbine pool which is mirrored at the back with the Jacuzzi.
