Agnelli Boulevard
Corso Agnelli è uno dei corsi più grandi e noti di Torino, sede della Fiat. È situato in un quartiere piuttosto popolare, noto più per le fabbriche e case automobilistiche che per le sue bellezze artistiche, tuttavia, anche in questa zona è possibile trovare elementi davvero interessanti per pattern designer o fotografi urbani come noi: cancelli elaborati (come quello che ha ispirato il nostro pattern), atmosfere underground e la (mitica!) Cittadella del Design del Politecnico di Torino.
Agnelli Boulevard is one of the largest and most popular boulevard in the city. It’s placed in a working-class distric better known for its evolving industries than its artistic beauties. Nevertheless, even here you can find some interesting elements such as elaborate gates (like the one that inspired us) by forward-looking smiths, underground atmospheres mixed with Second-WW-period buildings and uneven blacktops enriched by wild growing weed. Oh, and the (mind-blowing!) Polythecnic Design Campus, were we studied mostly!

England Avenue
Corso Inghilterra è situato in una zona di Torino decisamente più moderna ed in evoluzione rispetto al centro storico. Qui si trova la nuovissima e luminosissima stazione di Porta Susa, l’unico grattacielo della città ed il Palazzo della Regione che, con le sue grandi vetrate e la facciata principale scandita dalla fitta ripetizione di paraste altissime, ha ispirato il nostro motivo.
England Avenue is placed in a modern, central and dynamic area. Here you can find the bright and brand new “Porta Susa” station, the only skyscraper of the city (yet to finish - we’ll see!) and the Regional Palace. The latter, with its big glass wall and the main façade punctuated by dense repetition of high pilasters, inspired our pattern.

Lagrange Street
Via Lagrange è una delle vie principali del centro storico. Si percorre esclusivamente a piedi, camminando sul ciottolato fra i palazzi storici di stile barocco, le gelaterie tradizionali ed i negozi più esclusivi. Passeggiare per via Lagrange è assaporare la storia della città, goderne le antiche strutture così ricche di dettagli come cancelli, bassorilievi e balconate... Insomma, ispirazione in ogni angolo!
Lagrange street is one of the most important street of the city center. Cars aren’t allowed here, so you can just visit it walking on the cobblestones among the historical baroque buildings, the traditional ice cream shops and the most exclusive boutiques. Walking in Lagrange street is tasting Turin’s history, e n j o y i n g the ancient structures with their rich details such as gates, bas-reliefs and balconies... Hence, inspiration everywhere!

Town Hall Square
Piazza Palazzo di Città, che noi ragazzi della città di Torino, più spesso chiamiamo piazza del Municipio o Piazza delle Erbe, è un posto piccolo, grazioso e centralissimo della città. Si tratta di una piazza rettangolare simmetrica da qualche anno arricchita da alcune lanterne: adorabili di giorno e spettacolari durante le ore del tramonto.
“Piazza Palazzo di Città”, that us turin guys usually call Town Hall Square, is a tiny, lovely place in the city centre. It’s a symmetrical, rectangular square in which you can find a lanterns installation right above your head: a sort of flat roof made up perfectly spaced cubical illuminated little ones. Cute during the day, amazing at sunset. But always a perfect pattern for cushions!

CHI SIAMO
“Adoro gli esperimenti folli. Li faccio in continuazione.” (C. Darwin) È così che nasce One O, un progetto elettrizzante che porta noi folli ragazze, Chiara ed Irene, a dedicarci anima e corpo a questo progetto di textile design. Ci descriviamo così, come ragazze pazze, perché nasciamo come graphic designer che lavorano nella splendida Torino. Ed è proprio qui che nascono i nostri prodotti: è la nostra città che ci fornisce quotidianamente ispirazione. Torino con le sue architetture affascinanti, quei palazzi e quelle installazioni che troppo spesso nemmeno notiamo. Già proprio così, le perdiamo letteralmente!
scambiare idee e curiosità con persone come voi, ragazze appassionate e piene d’entusiasmo che, come noi, non capiscono più nulla davanti ad oggetti unici e fatti a mano, ad esperimenti di DIY e a qualunque cosa dal fascino retrò. Ma One O non è solo un pizzico di follia e foto graziose, è anche scelta consapevole di materiali ed inchiostri, è selezione di cotone 100% naturale non trattato chimicamente, è pomeriggi passati a sporcarci le mani (ed i vestiti!) per serigrafare i pattern, è orgoglio italiano per la passione del cucito e dell’artigianato. Per coinvolgervi nei progetti migliori. I più curati. I più sorprendenti. Sempre. //
Così, insieme, abbiamo deciso di tirarci fuori dalla frenesia, dal tran tran metropolitano ed abbiamo iniziato a camminare lentamente, col naso all’insù: ed eccola li, ecco la città! Tutti quegli edifici semplicemente mozzavano il fiato. È stata un’emozione ed un’ispirazione travolgente. È così che sono nati i pattern di One O e il messaggio che ci proponiamo di trasmettere attraverso il blog: perché una delle cose migliori della vita è avere un luogo in cui esprimersi, conoscere il mondo,

“I love crazy experiments. I’m always making them.” (C. Darwin) That’s how One O was born, a thrilling experiment that made us, mad ladies Chiara and Irene, dedicate ourselves body and soul to this striking textile design project. Quite mad as we’re actually graphic designers working in a beautiful city in north west Italy named Turin. And this is also the place where our products draw their insipiration from, fa-
scinating architetctures that surround our everyday life and we usually miss. That’s right, we usually miss them! So we stopped being mad people running to a place and another and started to walk slowly with our nose popped upwards: there it was, the city with it’s astonishing architectures and identities awaiting to be admired. It was thrilling and deeply inspiring. That’s how One O patterns are born and the message we want to send through our blog: cos one of the best things in life is having a place to express yourself, know the world, exchange ideas and rarities with people like you, enthusiastic ladies that go bananas when it’s all about handmade, crafty and gorgeous retrò stuff. But One O is not only about foolish and gracefully astonishing photos, it’s also conscious choice about materials and inks, it’s selection of 100% natural non-chemically treated cotton, it’s getting our hands (and dresses!) dirty to perfectly silkscreened patterns, it’s italian pride on sewing excellent crafted details. Bringing to you the best. The top. The foremost. Always.
