Slow / Motion of AW15 We named our AW15 collection Slow/Motion. We’ve been inspired by the duality of the expression, as it is something moving fast, but seen slow. It is movement being captured and with-held. This is a juxtaposition that made us look at slow-building tension in both nature and in the man-made. In life, and in the synthetic. With a reinforced and restructured creative team, we see the launch of AW15 as a milestone. A lot of things have been refined. We have been working hard, so expect a lot.

“Eight years ago, Onepiece was founded as an anti-fashion concept based around the art of slacker counter-culture. We were fed up with the social stress of the post y2k era, where people seemed to measure their worth with how busy and important they where. Fashion was laser sharp, bodies were supposed to be perfectly trimmed and our hearts were supposed to be cold as ice. We wanted to be the opposite of that. We wanted everything that fashion wasn’t. We offered a single product with a single cut. We had no interest in gender appropriation, in vogue fits or seasonal colors. We had nothing to do with the fashion industry, and we wanted to be as far from it as possible. Our rebellion took the world by storm, and our jumpsuits quickly grew from an underground movement to a worldwide phenomena. Now that Onepiece has grown up into the global brand it is today, we too have done some maturing. Maybe we are a bit less naive, as we certainly carry less of an anti-statement these days. But with a bit of hindsight, we can clearly see how we’ve always been inspired by confident, strong, independent personalities that can muster to live outside of the norm. Looking back, this was always the focal point of Onepiece. We see comfort as empowering. In fact, we strongly believe that comfort brings confidence - and thus, that comfort is a major cornerstone to most achievements.”
