Watco Wind Energy Solutions Give You a Competitive Edge Transportation Services

Ocean and River. Watco can handle imports of your oversized wind components at Watco Greens Port, our port on the Houston Ship Channel. As an international freight forwarder, we are licensed as a Non-Vessel-Operating Common Carrier and have the authority to book space on all major ocean carriers for any type of shipment. And, our strategically located, barge-served terminals and ports give you immediate access to major U.S. coastal and inland waterways.

Rail. Watco operates 46 short line railroads on more than 8,250 miles of track in North America. Our vast rail network interchanges with all Class I railroads to shorten in-transit time. Our rail network is well positioned near property that can be utilized for wind energy projects.

Transload Terminals and Storage

Our transload terminals are designed to provide efficient transloading of your wind components to truck, barge, and/or train. We can serve you at one of our Watco-owned and -operated terminals or build one uniquely suited for your wind farm operation. We offer indoor and outdoor storage options as well.

Wind Turbine Distribution Center

We can leverage one of our existing wind turbine distribution centers for your project, or we’ll help you find a new site and build the distribution center from the ground up. We have the labor, equipment, and expertise to get the job done within your timeline.

Switching and Maintenance

While your components are in our care, our team can perform any required repair and maintenance based on factory specifications and guidelines. And our mobile repair team is available 24 hours a day to respond to your needs.
