The project is a landscape pavilion outside the fourth-floor terrace of an office building. This pavilion is composed o terstitial space to draw people to outdoor from enclosed interior space which is using heavy material - steel and is l The project was completed by a team of six graduates with architectural education, led by a professional structur sion of labor based on their different areas of expertise. The work included schematic design, material purchase, an Yifan Wang Design of architectural and structural solutions.

This option was abandoned since the circular steel plate’s deformation would cause water buildup issues and make it impossible to maintain the structure.
Due to the inability to repair steel members above the external wall of the office building’s outdoor deck, the project was abandoned.
Following the mechanical calculations, the ultimate solution for this design was to elevate a Siemens-shaped steel frame and then support it laterally with an I-beam.
Due to the inability to repair steel members above the external wall of the office building’s outdoor deck, the project was abandoned.
Structure Optimization The standard values of wind loads are calculated by equations and brought into Karamba for the structural analysis of the north side of the wind retaining wall that resists the main wind forces. By optimizing the structure and construction, the utilization and deformation of the wind retaining wall are made to meet the requirements of stability and applicability.
The lower part of the windbreak is fixed to the keel and the left side is fixed to the other windbreak. The windbreak wall is damaged.
Fold the edges of the windbreak to increase the moment of inertia of the structure and increase the stiffness of the windbreak.
A pentagonal steel plate is welded to the top of the wind retaining wall, while this plate is welded to the I-beam column, and the three want to become one system. This steel plate can transfer the force exerted by the top of the windbreak wall to the column, and will also help the column to resist the lateral displacement. The stability and applicability of the structure meet the requirements.

Construction Process The foundation is the first step in the pavilion’s construction. The I-beam portal frame and I-beam side supports are then constructed. After the outer frame structure of the roof is assembled on the ground, the roof is connected to the I-beam, and the rain barrier is welded to the outer frame structure of the roof.

The right usage of landscape plants has been found to promote human health in studies. Plants in the yard should be placed in a non-toxic, healthy, and beautiful manner because it is a location where the elderly spend a lot of time. The aroma of certain flowers may quiet the mind and reduce sadness, and trees with rich foliage help filter the air. In Chinese culture, pine and ginkgo trees are symbols of longevity and health, and most old people adore them. At the same time, evergreen trees are commonly picked to prevent the sad atmosphere in the autumn and winter after the trees have fallen. Also, strive to have flowers flowering at all times of the year.

Terrace Elevator Stairs Bedroom Medical room Ramps
On the second level of the nursing home, there is a medical office and two bedrooms adjacent to the medical office for seniors who require medical treatment. To make the atrium area between the first and second floors more flexible, I designed a curving staircase. The elderly can use a ramp on the second-story outdoor roof to access the courtyard on the first floor or the roof on the third floor. The ramp connects the flow of the entire structure, making it easier for elders with restricted mobility to go about.

The roof space on the third story is totally open. This area provides a view of the surrounding pastures for the elderly. Many elderly people in rural China rely on farming for a living, and they have a strong bond with the land. When they are no longer able to work in the fields due to age, glancing out the sight at the fields they used to labor on helps alleviate their desire for the crops and the land. At the same time, they may use the flat space beneath the wooden roof for their regular outdoor activities like dance and Tai Chi.

To satisfy the everyday needs of the elderly, each bedroom is provided with a single bed, wardrobe, and bathroom. Seniors may enjoy the beauty of the courtyard at all times thanks to large glass windows overlooking the courtyard.
Many plants that are helpful for the health of the elderly, such as lavender and laurel, were planted in the garden. Also, from spring through fall, make sure there are flowers in the yard. The plethora of flora will encourage the elderly to take more walks around the yard.
Cemetery Park From Warehouse 10/2021-02/2022, Individual Work
My grandpa died of sickness when I was working on the project, and the loss of one of my loved ones made me death, and we all expressed our discontent with China’s existing burial system. Cemeteries located outside of the c lar basis. But death has always been a problem that we can’t avoid. Through the remodeling of a dead and aban ing’s three blocks were converted into a vertical park with a cemetery and a plant cultivation office building to se tery is where the deceased relatives are buried, the office building is where fresh seeds are planted, and the living respectively. During the refurbishment, the formerly closed concrete building is made as open as feasible. The orig hefty theme of death.
e consider what happens to individuals when they die. At the same time, I was conversing with my friends about city make it difficult for young people who are preoccupied with city life to visit their deceased relatives on a regundoned structure, I sought to explore the link between humans and death in this design project. The previous buildervice the park. And a chapel was built out of a circular grain storage barrel for mourning loved ones. The cemeg come to the church to pay their respects. The three new structures symbolize fresh life, the living, and the dead, ginal concrete walls were either shattered or replaced with glass. By breaking a huge building, I seek to shatter the
The Site This project’s location is surrounded by a complicated environment. The location was a suburban area and an urban industrial sector in the 1960s, when the government erected grain silos to assist the storage of grain from the surrounding countryside.

Over the next forty years, significant urban growth converted the land from an industrial to a residential region, but a few industry sites remained. The grain warehouse was also left as one of the residential area’s surviving structures.

Hefei cemeteries are located in a geographic location far from the city, with poor access and low average land prices. Structure Analysis
Renovation Strategy The grain storage site’s construction is significantly more strong than the criteria he needed to avert any dust explosions during grain processing. The structure is supported by 36 60cmx60cm reinforced concrete columns. I was able to deconstruct the ancient building’s outer walls, hang “floating islands” with soil on top of the existing system of beams and columns, and plant trees on them because of the building’s sturdy construction. A stairway connects the fractured islands, allowing the structure to be more open and adaptable.

The main body of the renovated building is divided into two buildings with identical construction but different uses. When the office building has successfully bred the plants, they will be brought to the park for planting. Elevators and other amenities are available since the office building also acts as the headquarters for the park’s maintenance team. To make the building more open and breezy, the facade was removed as much as feasible. Plants were utilised to create more flexible and intimate rooms at the same time. The inclusion of a spinning staircase improves the park’s vertical movement.

Other Works 3D Printing
I use 3D printing technology to turn computer models into clay models, employing clay as the printing substance. The humidity of the clay throughout the printing process, as well as the ratio of different clays, will affect the outcome. Failure, on the other hand, can sometimes yield interesting results.

Sculpture Design
To convey my inner feelings about studying architecture, I created this sculpture out of stainless steel, terra cotta, and mirrors. The square is encased in a stainless steel plate, yet it is composed of delicate terra cotta. The scattered mirror bits depict my own selfdoubt during the design process.
