CAMPGROUND POLICIES
To make Red Oak Shores Campground a fun and safe place for you and fellow campers, there are a few rules for courteous camping which are summarized below. On behalf of the staff, we want to make your stay a pleasant one. If we can be of assistance, please let us know in the office.
• Visitors: All visitors must stop and register at the office.
• Parking: Two vehicles per site. Roads must be kept clear for emergency vehicles. No parking on other sites or drain fields. Extra vehicles may be parked in the front parking lot.
• Speed Limit: 5 MPH strictly enforced.
• Quiet Hours: 10 PM to 8 AM. All minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult during these hours.
• No cutting of trees.
• Boats/Watercraft: No boats or watercraft are allowed on sites. All boats and trailers must be stored in designated storage area with signed agreement from the office.
• All vehicles must be street legal and registered. No mini bikes, go carts, ATVs, scooters.
• Bicycles: State law requires bicycle riders 17 and younger to wear protective helmets. For safety reasons bicycles are not permitted to be ridden after dark.
• Supervision of Children: Children under 16 years of age MUST be supervised by a responsible adult and may not be left in campground alone.
• Picnic Tables: Do not borrow picnic tables from other sites.
• Campfires: Campfires are permitted in approved fire rings only and must not be left unattended. Campfires must be fully extinguished after use.
• Pets: Pets must be attended, cleaned up after, and kept on a leash. All pets must have appropriate shots and registered at the office.
• Bathhouse: Please keep it clean! No sanitary napkins or wipes in toilets, please use the containers provided. Must be 16 to enter without adult. No smoking in bathhouses.
• Swimming Pool: No glass containers permitted in the pool area. Children 16 years or younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No smoking in pool area. THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
• Sites: Please notify the office if you are on a different site than assigned. Sites should be left clean for next camper. If not left clean, a clean-up fee will be charged to your account.
• Lights: are not allowed to be in or attached to trees. Bright outdoor lighting should be turned off during quiet hours.
• Clotheslines: are not permitted.
• Trash: Please don’t litter, there are trash containers located at the bathhouse and dumpsters at the exit gate. DO NOT leave trash outside of your campsite.
• Walking through sites: Please do not walk through occupied sites. An occupied site is another camper’s “home”.
• No fireworks of any kind are permitted on or around the property.
• Smoking is not permitted in any public building, bathhouse, or swimming pool area.
