Beingcert Certified Scrum Master A Certified scrum master® helps project teams properly use Scrum, increasing the likelihood of the project's overall success. CSMs understand Scrum values, practices, and applications and provide a level of knowledge and expertise above and beyond that of typical project managers. CSMs act as "servant leaders," helping the rest of the Scrum team work together and learn the Scrum framework. CSMs also protect the team from both internal and external distractions. Read more about the Scrum Master role and see an example of a Scrum Master's checklist. Scrum training and certification fulfill the vision of the Agile manifesto by fostering greater collaboration, productivity, and success among team members. This global movement transforms organizations and takes them to higher levels of performance. To be effective, Scrum Masters need to have a rock-solid understanding of the practices and values of Scrum. The Professional Scrum Master (PSM) assessments allow people to validate their understanding of those practices and values, and how they would respond to situations that challenge them. Those that pass the PSM assessments will receive the corresponding industry recognized certification. There are two options for Scrum Master Assessment and certification: PSM I and PSM II. These assessments are sequential, meaning that the PSM I must be passed before attempting the much more difficult PSM II.
The Professional Scrum master certification course is a 2-day course that covers the principles and (empirical) process theory underpinning the mechanics, rules and roles of the Scrum framework. Advanced tools for servant-leadership are provided to increase a Scrum Master’s effectiveness. These tools relate to behavioral shifts, working with people and teams, coaching and facilitation techniques, and addressing the organization. Students learn through instruction and team-based exercises, and are challenged to think in terms of the Scrum principles to better understand what to do when returning to the workplace. Professional Scrum Master is THE cutting-edge course for effective Scrum Masters and anyone supporting a software development team's efficiency and effectiveness. The test contains 35 multiple-choice questions and you must correctly answer 24 questions to pass. The test takes about an hour to complete. You can stop and restart as many times as needed. You can also skip, go back, and bookmark questions for later review. Review your bookmarked questions before submitting your test for scoring. When you click “submit” at the end, a warning message will alert you of any unanswered questions. Your test results will immediately appear on your computer.
