A Message from the Board of Commissioners

Dear Friends: We’re pleased to present to you the 2020 Dauphin County Resource Directory, an easy-to-use handbook for products, services, and opportunities available for boomers, seniors, and caregivers. From information about adult daycare and home care and hospice providers to hearing services and volunteer opportunities, this wideranging guide provides you with a host of resources that can help improve your quality of life. Dauphin County’s Area Agency on Aging also offers a variety of resources and programs for adults age 60 and over, including one-on-one counseling services for Medicare enrollment, food vouchers to farmers markets, elder-abuse protection and investigation, and more. For more information about these programs, call the agency at (717) 780-6130 or visit www.DauphinCounty.org. In addition to these services, On-Line Publishers will host its annual 50plus EXPO in Dauphin County on May 6 at the Hershey Lodge. It’s another great opportunity to learn about programs in our area and to speak directly with service providers. Visit www.50plusexpopa.com or call (717) 285-1350 for more information. Our goal is to help you stay healthy and live life to the fullest, and we hope the resources in this guide will help you. Very truly yours,

A Message From the Publisher When you or a loved one needs guidance, care, assistance services, or housing, often the most difficult step is finding a place to start. This is why we have created Resource Directory: Inside, you’ll find more than 400 “places to start.” Healthcare. Legal and financial help. Disability services. Housing options. Home improvement. Medical equipment. Nonprofit organizations. Hotlines. This is just a small sampling of the more than 50 informational categories inside this Resource Directory. Look through its easy-to-read pages for local resources available for baby boomers, seniors, and their families in Dauphin County. Plus, the Resource Directory contains contact information for Dauphin County police departments, post offices, and emergency services, as well as county, state, and federal government phone numbers for your convenience. Resource Directory is available in print and online The at www.ResourceDirectoryPA.com, so it’s accessible whenever and wherever you need it. The Dauphin County Resource Directory would not be possible without the financial support and dedication of its sponsors and advertisers. We thank the businesses and organizations included in this directory for facilitating access to the resources Dauphin County residents need — and for helping On-Line Publishers, Inc. commemorate 25 years of serving the mind, heart, and spirit of the community in 2020. The professional services, advocacy organizations, living communities, and other helpful services you need are out there, and no matter what you are in search of, we hope this free directory gives you a place to start and the means to keep going. Sincerely, Donna K. Anderson, Publisher
