SUPPORT SALFORD FOODBANK THIS SUMMER

Keith Walker and Lorraine Rogers, volunteers at Salford Foodbank for almost a decade, will be hosting a couple of pop up collections during the summer. It would be great if you can support the Foodbank by adding a couple of non perishable tins or packets to your shop and drop off at: Sainsbury’s Ellenbrook: Saturday 13th August or Coop Ellenbrook: Saturday 17th September Both pop up events will be from 10am to 2pm.

In addition Keith has a Food Gift Box on his driveway at 34 Boothstown Drive, Worsley, M28 1UF, available 24/7 to make donations. Alternatively Keith can collect from local addresses if you e-mail kwalker1@sky.com. In the last 18 months the local community has contributed over 8,500kg of food via Keith’s Food Gift Box and pop up events which he has arranged at Sainsbury’s and the Coop - an absolutely amazing community response!

Keith commented that the demand for the Foodbank greatly increased at the start of Covid and continues to increase week on week with the rising cost of living.

The Food Gift Box project has its own website. Visit www.foodgiftbox.co.uk for a map of box locations and details on how you can get involved and have a donation box on your driveway.
