Introduction
Content
The Adelphan region of Okasankaar is essentially composed of marshland. Large water bodies are interspersed with zones of dense swamp grass, small rocks and dying foliage, rotting in the amber sunlight. Small flat bottom boats are the only effective way of getting around here. The region is bordered by the sea to the south. The region’s capital, Cyana, protudes from the coastline, built into the only mountain in the region. From its small harbour at the foot of the mountain, Talan fishermen (forming a large majority of the population in Okasankaar) sail with carracks into the wild sea. Okasankaar’s fish are Cyana’s most important export, and they are appreciated by all Talan in Adelpha. The face of Okasankaar, though, has changed since the last time Cutter travelled to Adelpha; the sea has withdrawn, and three islands located on the outskirts of the region can now almost be reached by foot. The old lighthouse of Cyana now stands on dry, stable ground. As a result Cyana has grown and the population has increased - some Talan have even begun to farm the region.

Vegetation Kaodor Plant (Ka + odor, the flavor of the air) The Kaodor Plant grows on the lownutrient rocks of the southern coast in Okasanakaar. It is in fact not a single plant but a symbiosis of a plant and a mushroom, whose conspicuous fruiting body defines the main appearance of this biocoenosis. The fruiting body excretes a chemical substance which poisons insects, so that the plant can digest them in the area around its centrum.
12
Swamp Tree This vegetation shapes the foggy swamps of Okasankaar. The swamp edges have thorned plants with blossom colored fruits and the trees evoke mushroom forms that contribute to a mystic and mysterious atmosphere.
Fire Mite
Water Palm
The red petals of this parasitic plant attract many insects which feed on its nectar. When feeding on the nectar they cover themselves in the plants seeds which are then spread to the next plant the insect visits. The seeds grow into more red flowers that suck the victim plant of its resources.
The water palm has long extensive roots that elevate it above the water in order to keep its stem dry. These long roots also elevate it above other smaller plants allowing its large green leaves to gather more sunlight.

Population Fisherman
Captain of a ship
Fishermen comprise the main population of Okasankaar, region in which water is dominant. They often wear simple light green colored tunics with hoods bounded by sail ropes. They have sea tatoos bearing a particular symbol distintictive of belonging to the fishing communities. The symbols that haven’t changed in an age.
The appearance of a captain of Cyana is designed to comunicate their experience in fishing and navigation. They have an thougher constitution than a normal talan cause they are veterans in their sector. Their tribal piercings and decorations are symbols of high rank and respect amongst the fishermen.
Farmer Special fish bok talan A fisherman who is very slim and is characterized by an introverted and weird temperament that keeps people away from him. He is a great craftsman of fishing rods and collects fish bones of every kind. This talan has thought a lot about his passion of fishing ever since he saw a rare creature, but nobody believes his story...

These workers are easily recognised due to their large population throughout the world of Adelpha. They can be identified by the earthy colors of their tunics which represent their essence: Gandha, the essence of the earth.

Architecture
This standard house found in the wealthier parts of Okasankaar is made of stone and wood. The wooden stilts at the base of the house elevate it above the ground helping to prevent flooding. The stone and wood materials help keep the inside of the house dry and cool providing a comfortable living environment for the Talan.

Architecture
While the wealthier Talan live in stone houses on the mountain, the poorer ones have to be content with mainly wooden huts located by the seaside and even offshore. These areas are those in which fishing shipments are discharged and processed. As a result, the smell of old fish fuses with that of the sea and condenses on almost every surface.

Fauna Seagull
Sannegta
This is the ‘seagull’ of Adelpha . They are very often found in Okasankaar, especially near the fishing boats or shops. They suffer a bad reputation in Okasankaar because, in comparison to seagulls living on earth, they have a more agressive approach to reaching their food. They have been known to attack talan if they don´t get what they want. Besides that, they eat, sleep and cark around.
Sannegta which live in the wild sea are real killers and are especially ferocious. They don’t hesitate to attack careless swimmers as well as and any small boat. Their meat tastes delicious, so these fish are hunted with poisonous harpoons by the Talan fishermen.
Lizard This creature is found all over the marshlands in Okasankaar. Its body captures the light present in the region, dimmed by its atypical fog. The animal uses the light that it has absorbed through its veins and releases it again to attract prey.
