Water Reservoirs
Sewers Stewardship

The square cuttings under the water line represent where pipes would be located. The pipes would bring the water into homes.
Children looked at art and writing on Water by several artists, including Sylvia. They created their own art over several weeks on the theme of: Water, Reservoirs, Sewers, Stewardship.
In my reservoir I have created it so it has paths going downhill into the middle of the ground. There are filters in the middle of the reservoir and there are pipes at the bottom of the reservoir that carries the water through our water system. There are benches in the grass area in between the paths. Its a system, a park, so people can sit and also trees and grass can grow. All of the water comes from the lakes and it comes into the middle of the ground, then it gets filtered and distributed to nyc through pipes.

Three Pillars of Sustainability Environmental, Economic, and Social ● ● ●
● ●
On the previous slide the drawing is of volunteers cleaning a reservoir This helps the environment because it cleans the water so that the animals don’t get sick or poisoned from dirty water. This helps the economy because if the reservoir water is dirty and people get sick then there will be more people in hospitals and hospitals will spend lots of money on medicine and medical supplies It also means that the city might not be able to allow people to drink the water so they have to ship in bottled water. That’s bad for the environment because they have to use plastic bottles and all that waste just goes back into the ocean

Ridgewood Reservoir Model I made the Water of glass, and the hills are hollow. It’s still WIP (Work In Progress)

drawing of a lost structure at the reservoir (WIP [work in progress])
As you can see I tried to draw nature at the reservoir but it didn’t come out so good. I drawed the grass trees plants and some clouds.
a roblox model of prospect park dairy
a deer pen which made the news when a three year old dear leaped over the fence and escaped. This gave prospect park publicity because they made it into the news this wasn't the most sustainable because it kept those animals trapped in a cage
This was a model of dogs herding sheep because in prospect park dogs where employees for a little while to herd livestock.
This was a petting zoo at the reservoir which had attracted many children so i had added children observing the animals.
This picture is representing the water coming down from the Catskills. The big green blob is a mountain with a stream rolling down. The black strip is the pipe that transfers the water to our homes and workplaces. And the white circle is supposed to be a toilet.
So it half a house the water i put it like a lake which animals live in it and there kind of like mountains animals live there
This is a drawing after a water tunnel there’s the tunnel and pipes and the water flowing between the gray paths. I really like how it shows the vibrant blue water in the dark gray tunnel, i feel like it’s a little bit of “light in the dark” but in water :) The tunnel is made of strong pipes holding it together, and the water flows down through it like a bridge. The 3 paths are for walking on and lets the water be separated a bit. It’s an underground tunnel transporting the water the city uses.
I BUILT PIPES INTO THE RESERVOIR. THE PIPES THAT I BUILT CARRY THE WATER FROM THE RESERVOIR TO THE HOMES
This reservoir has two houses, each with a toilet and a sink. They go into the sewers and down into the reservoir. The stream has 4 filters, (trapdoors) and goes into the lake.
