Dear Friends,

Isn’t it extraordinary that God – the all-powerful, allknowing creator of heaven and earth – invites us to pray, to spend time in relationship with Him, to intercede for peoples and nations around the world?

It can be heart-breaking and overwhelming when we consider that billions of people living in God’s world have no knowledge of His love for them. We understand that more than 2 billion people live in communities where there is no Gospel witness; in towns, cities, regions where there are no Jesus followers to share God’s love with them (source: Joshua Project). My prayer is that as we look out at the world, acknowledging the almost incomprehensible number of individuals who do not know God’s love, the reality of their separation from Him and the hopelessness of so many may motivate us to cry out to our Father even more.

Let’s join together to pray for God’s mercy, for His love to be known and for the witness of all those who have intentionally crossed cultural and linguistic barriers in order to live out God’s love among those who are yet to hear.

Praying together,

MATTHEW SKIRTON, UK CHIEF EXECUTIVE, OM
