CHÂTEAU CAMBIS
Château Cambis dates back to the 13th century, the time when the Catholic Popes lived in Avignon along with Florentine nobility. The estate has been growing grapes continuously since the 15th century: today’s owners, Celine and Nicolas Verdier, carry the Château’s traditions into yet another century, choosing to grow their grapes in a way that respects both biodiversity and the ecosystem.
Deep fruit preserves, pencil shavings, chalk, fresh dough and lees. It is dry, has a low, but adequate acidity, medium extract, medium fine-textured tannins and medium body. It is medium in length with a matching fruit intensity of plum stone, red fruit preserve, lees and mineralchalky note. It is an interesting ringer to add to the Château Cambis’s two-pack to make it an interesting triangle taste-off: same vintage/ different village; same village/different vintage. 2023-2026– ir nose,
