LANGUEDOCROUSSILLON

Domaine de la Jasse Named for the 110-year-old plane tree that sits in the courtyard and is visible from the tasting room, La Jasse means "shelter" in the local Occitan language. The tree has sheltered many a man and beast over the years and features on the estate’s wine labels. Owner Bruno Le Breton makes premium Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the foothills of the Cévennes mountains, behind Montpellier at Combaillaux where he farms 55 hectares of vines of which 60% are Cabernet Sauvignon. As well as producing top quality wines, Bruno has led the way in the region in reducing his estate's environmental impact by encouraging biodiversity and efficient use of fertilizer, sprays and water.
