CASE STUDIES

OpportunityElite OpportunityElite provides USA Soccer Scholarship recruitment assistance, guiding students throughout the process. We have a vast array of contacts at numerous Universities in the States, who are looking for highly talented footballers on the pitch, that also succeed within the classroom. Our role is to find the student the best possible scholarship offers from the Universities that fit their academic, personal, and footballing requirements. We capture match footage, edit it into highlights, and promote the players abilities to our range of University contacts throughout America. Along with this, we also guide students through the administrative aspect of the recruitment process, ensuring that they are completing and fulfilling the relevant University requirements. We have compiled a brief case study of two players who we have worked with over the last year from independent schools. Please turn over to the next page to see some of our work and successes.

Donnell Bowes

School: King Edwards Witley Current University: Harding University, NCAA Division 2 We first watched Donnell in Year 11 after being invited into King Edwards Witley to assess their talented Year 11 team for any soccer scholarship opportunities. We noticed Donnell immediately. He is extremely fast, strong in the tackle and fantastic on the ball. Donnell impressed us greatly, leading to discussions, regarding the opportunities in America, with he and his family. Our work began in mid year 11, watching Donnell captain the winning King Edwards Witley U16 side at Manchester City FC in the English Small Schools National Final. Donnell generated large interest from a number of NCAA D2 Universities, eventually choosing Harding University, NCAA D2. Donnell was offered the highest scholarship on the team and has had a fantastic first year, playing every minute of the teams games this season, winning the regular season championship. Donnell has also received individual honours, with inclusion in the 2nd Team All-Conference players of the year awards.

Landry Cheta

School: Lancing College University: Georgian Court University, NCAA D2 Landry represented the ISFA South team in the 2016/17 season after performing well for his Lancing College team. Landry is a quick winger who was previously on the books of Brighton & Hove Albion as a youngster, before moving to Lancing College to achieve his academic goals. Very talented on the pitch and in the classroom; Landry received a number of very good scholarship offers from reputable NCAA D2 Institutions. We worked with Landry during his year 13, capturing match footage over a number of games, promoting his footage to the Universities. Landry accepted Georgian Court's offer in early 2017. After injury, Landry decided to attend the University in early 2018 and has formed a very good impression to coaches and staff at the University, leading to a very respectable first season in the University game. He is thought of highly by the University and expected to make a great impact over the coming years.
