The elegantly styled Art Deco property that houses the restaurant sits on the edge of the bowling green, a tranquil setting to take time out to enjoy breakfast, lunch or a delightful afternoon tea. The bowls club has matches in play during Summer which adds to the serenity and quintessential English essence of the place.

Join us for our new Summer dining experience. Throughout July and August every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings our terrace will be open for sunset dining. (*weather permitting.) Open daily from 9am, our sunset menu will run from 5-7pm. Bask in the early evening sun, enjoy sundowners and a sharing platter. Menu consists of sharing platters, mezes, pasta of the day - the menu will be simple, fresh and continental in style and vary week to week – and it can be accompanied by sharing your favourite bottle of wine or sipping on your favourite cocktail. When the sun dips, the bowls green and architecture of the square make the perfect setting to relax, kick back and unwind. Open 7 days a week

Joining in the spirit of the Wimbledon Championships we will be offering our superb cream teas, iced jugs of Pimms and our wonderful afternoon tea served with sparkling Prosecco. (Afternoon Tea must be booked 48 hrs in advance.) La Petite Petanque can be found within the grounds of Alexandra Bowling Green in the charming conservation area of Southend-on-Sea. Open 7 days a week from 9 am.
