RAINMAKER Discussion The Customer Experience • All good marketing is about positioning. • Upfront needs to be about the customer, not you. • People want content before they want a pitch. • Overtime, content is how they start to know you, like you, and trust you. • People are buying a lifestyle, built around content you send. • Clients don't care about awards you've won. • They care about the service and experience you deliver. • Don't compete on price either, we should compete on service.


RAINMAKER Discussion The Customer Experience Customer Service Unexpected Extras • Exude positive energy - smile • Look people in the eye - it values the human being • Use the magic words - please, thank you • Be an attentive listener - listen intently, take notes • Remember customer names and their "likes" • Don't make promises you can't keep - it's more important to be respected than liked • Pay attention to whats important to your customer- it doesn't matter what you like • Don't neglect the followup - every time you follow up, you make a deposit in their trust
