Creating a Joyful Journey Geologica Store imports directly from industry famous manufacturing brands in Italy: Fiandre, Fabbrica Marmi E Graniti, Ariostea, and Iris Ceramica. Through these seven manufacturers they are able to cover any type of design from traditional to modern to everything in between. The store features high quality porcelain, ceramic tile and porcelain slabs. We chatted with company CEO Rodolfo Panisi, to get his views on trends in tile.
Q. What are some of the key trends in porcelain and ceramic tile? A. The larger format is really the talk.  40â&#x20AC;?x 40â&#x20AC;? size tiles and larger is the new look and it is what is getting the architectâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s and designerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s attention.  In our industry size has always been the limitation; always being seen as the weak point.  Architects and Designers have always had an understanding of the maintenance free properties of the ceramic, but size always limited its use against quarried stones, at least for use in higher end projects. Q. Geologica imports directly from Italy â&#x20AC;&#x201C; how does that help you maintain a leading edge in the market? A. Italy is still the motherland when it comes to new technologies and style.  Fiandre company has been able to maintain its leadership in the commercial community thanks to the continued investments in new technologies.  New technology brings new products, and new products are important for the A&D community since their goal is to bring their own clients the latest trends, both in design and technical features. Q. How do you help customers ďŹ nd the perfect ďŹ&#x201A;ooring or countertop for their design project? A. First of all, our products are developed for commercial use.  When we think of a new product, its engineering begins with the intent to be used commercially.  Clients come to us with the conďŹ dence that our product is capable of high traďŹ&#x192;c and appropriate for any use.  Client will then navigate between our vast range of products to ďŹ nd the right texture and color that suits them best.
