The inaugural SOLAS Summit, hosted by Orange Lutheran’s Theology department, was held in February. SOLAS stands for:
SHARING CHRIST CRUCIFIED
OPTIMIZING TEACHING
LEARNING TOGETHER
AFFIRMING ONE ANOTHER
SHARING THEOLOGY CURRICULUM
The conference brought Lutheran theology teachers from more than 23 schools across the United States to OLu’s campus, where they engaged in three days of worship, fellowship, curriculum collaboration, and professional development.
Throughout the spring semester, five students chose to commit their lives to Christ through multiple baptism services held during Daily Gathering, including Janai Arteaga ‘19 (pictured). During each service, students stood in front of the entire student body alongside their family and friends to receive the rite of baptism from Campus Pastor Tim Detviler ’79.
