PERSONALIZED SUPPORT FOR EVERY LEARNER

HyFlex Courses

Exclusively designed for independent learners by our curriculum experts, HyFlex courses blend face-to-face learning with a flexible, technology-enhanced, self-guided environment. These courses are specifically designed for organized and self-motivated students who desire flexibility in their schedule.

Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

For learners seeking to be challenged by the most rigorous courses possible while studying what they love, we offer 20 honors-level and 19 AP courses taught by expert educators accomplished in their individual fields. Orange Lutheran AP students consistently score significantly higher than California and national averages.

Accommodating Special Academic Needs

Learners with special academic needs and diagnosed disabilities receive personalized support through the Department of Special Programs and Services (DSPS). Through customized coursework, DSPS educators help learners reach their graduation goals through accommodations in reading level, research expectations, note-taking requirements, and dedicated learning support services.

Academies

Based on each learner’s personal interests, strengths, and goals, Academies inspire and enhance the academic experience by offering a variety of options to hone individual talents in a specific subject area. Through specialized coursework, collaborative experiences, internships, and capstone projects, learners are provided with the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of specific disciplines. Their intentional focus and commitment to their field are recognized on their transcript. Orange Lutheran offers six Academies: Ministry, Humanities, Visual Arts, Entrepreneurship, STEM, and Performing Arts.

Orange Lutheran Online (OLO)

A leader in Christian online education for over a decade, Orange Lutheran Online (OLO) offers an expansive selection of courses intended to tailor the learning experience, create space for extracurricular activities, and enhance the learner’s academic portfolio. Taught by Orange Lutheran’s highly trained educators, over 40 course offerings include Advanced Placement (AP) and honors-level classes. In addition to our NCAA and UC approved courses, we also offer numerous elective and dual credit options. OLO makes an Orange Lutheran education and the OLu Experience accessible to learners anywhere in the world.

Blended Schedule

Designed to meet individual needs and goals, learners can choose OLO’s Blended Schedule, which consists of four on-campus and three online classes at a reduced tuition rate. This unique learning option mirrors the high-quality academic structure and innovative teaching methods of a traditional schedule, within a flexible and convenient format.

Full-Time Online

Accelerated eight-week and sixteen-week semesters enable full-time online learners to complete seven to eight courses within a school year while still having access to the OLu on-campus experience.

Counseling and College Planning

Leading the state with one of the best student-to-counselor ratios (153:1), nine passionate and specifically trained counselors work one-on-one with students to enhance the learning process and promote career, academic, and social-emotional development.

Freshman Support

Two freshman-only counselors are dedicated to assisting our newest Lancers with the transition into high school, which may include managing an academically rigorous schedule, adjusting to changing friend groups, and help getting connected with activities on campus.

College Consulting Plus+

For those who desire a private college consultant, our counseling experts specialize in providing a personalized college admission strategy including step-by-step assistance, essay writing support, career inventories, personality and learning style assessments, and a series of prescribed planning meetings.

International Students

Our international student counselor is well-versed in meeting the unique needs of these learners and provides assistance as they are introduced to a new culture and embrace the OLu Experience.

College Athletics Advisor

Student-athletes have specific concerns that require additional counselor advice and support. Our College Athletics Advisor provides expertise in reviewing core course requirements for both the NCAA and NAIA eligibility centers, assisting with understanding recruiting rules, as well as providing guidance for marketing direction with prospective college athletes.
