Island Aviation Services Limited was established in 2000 and is wholly owned by the Government of Maldives. It is the National carrier of the country, currently operating over 150 plus sectors daily. These include scheduled flights within the country and international services to India and Bangladesh from its main hub at Velana International Airport. The company was re-branded to Maldivian in 2008 and is the only operator in the country that offers both seaplane and wheelbase flights in Maldives. The company’s objective is not merely to meet expectations, but to consistently exceed the goals of the air traveler and partners by making it a pleasure to use the services of Island Aviation.

The Company’s core business is Airline Services, Airport Lounge Services, Airport Management & Operations, Engineering & Maintenance Services, Cargo Services, Maldivian Holidays and Maldivian Seaplane Services. The company is also committed in providing the highest possible levels of services to its principal airlines and passengers by the use of well-trained and motivated team of staff that form an integral part of the business.
