The Kaimoo Group, founded in 1979, is a leading Maldivian tourism investment group. The former Chairman of Kaimoo, late Hon. Kan’di Ismail, was the first Tourism Secretary of the Maldives. In 1979, Kaimoo opened their first private investment, Embudu Village, a 3-star resort. In 1992, Kam Hotel, one of the first city hotels in the Maldives. After acquiring Ziyaaraifushi in 1996, the Island has been re-branded as Summer Island Maldives in 2015. In 1999, Equator Village, the first city hotel/ Resort in Addu Atoll was acquired. Kaimoo introduced the Mookai Hotel in 2002 and Mookai Suites in 2008, along with a restaurant K. Cafe’.
