‘DANYAH’S PERFORMANCE IS A TOUR DE FORCE… A GLORIOUS EXAMPLE OF THE MAGIC OF STORYTELLING…’ Michael Morpurgo

The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by author/ illustrator Eric Carle has delighted generations of readers since it was first published in 1969 selling more than 41 million copies worldwide.

TUE 1 NOVEMBER 1PM Multi-award-winning performer and storyteller Danyah Miller vividly brings to life another enchanting tale by Michael Morpurgo.

Eric’s well-known books captivated readers with his iconic colourful hand-painted tissue paper collage illustrations and distinctively simple stories, introducing generations of children to a bigger, brighter world – and to their first experience of reading itself.

Created by the same team who brought you the acclaimed and much-loved production of I Believe In Unicorns, Why The Whales Came is full of fun, mystery and adventure. Children Gracie and Daniel have been forbidden to go near the mysterious and seemingly dangerous Birdman. But messages and clues intrigue them and, after being lost at sea in the fog and stranded on his tiny island, they begin to unravel the Birdman’s secrets, the villagers’ fears and superstitions and learn why the whales came to the island. Suitable for age 7+.

Now, the timeless classic makes its way off the page and onto the stage.

THEIR LIVES WERE WORLDS APART...

Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multi-award winning Blood Brothers. Bill Kenwright’s production surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, one of only three musicals ever to achieve that milestone. It has been affectionately christened the ‘Standing Ovation Musical’, as inevitably it ‘brings the audience cheering to its feet and roaring its approval’ (The Daily Mail).

Lyn Paul returns to the iconic role she has played many times in the West End, in fact she was the show’s final Mrs Johnstone when it closed at the Phoenix Theatre in 2012. Lyn also starred in Bill Kenwright’s tour of Cabaret with Will Young in 2013 and rose to fame as a member of the pop group New Seekers whose numerous number one hits include I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing which sold over 20 million copies. The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.

TUE 28 FEBRUARY – SUN 5 MARCH Boggis, Bunce and Bean, three greedy, smelly, horrid farmers hate the cunning Mr Fox. Mr Fox is smart, clever and rather fantastic, but he doesn’t realise how determined the farmers are to get revenge. Can he hatch a plan to save his family and friends? Can they outrun the diggers and outsmart the farmers? And can Rabbit shut up long enough not to give the game away? Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox is family fun at its finest.
