Nathan Detroit bets his pal Sky Masterson that he won’t be able to persuade a ‘doll’ of Nathan’s choice to go to dinner with him.

When the doll in question happens to be prim neighbourhood missionary Sarah Brown, the stage is set for an evening of high-spirited entertainment. Over the past months the generosity of our theatregoers, combined with the fundraising efforts of The Orchard Theatre staff have helped HQ Theatres and Qdos Entertainment raise £93,068.14 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. The money was raised through audience bucket collections as well as a number of fundraising events in which HQ Theatres staff have taken part. All nine theatres and venues in the HQ Theatres Group, including The Orchard, will continue to raise funds for the Charity over the next year, so when you see a collecting bucket or tin around the theatre, please give as generously as you can.
