Bites Nearby: A Family Friendly Dining Experience Babylon Village is known as a burgeoning restaurant row area, and this week Patch offers up one of many places to satisfy your hunger. By Judy Mottl | February 3, 2011 You could walk up and down Deer Park Avenue until one of the many restaurant signs draws you in. But Patch has a better idea. Each week, Babylon Village Patch will suggest a great restaurant that is worth checking out. Here’s this week’s choice: Horace & Sylvia’s Publick House: One of the best things about Horace & Sylvia’s is that it can satisfy any diner’s need, whether it’s a full course meal, such as Atlantic salmon, or what a child loves to eat, such as English muffin pizza. The family-owned establishment is family friendly in terms of menu and prices. It’s also a beer lover’s dream place with 18 choices on tap. For those looking to just unwind after work, there is the daily happy hour featuring $4 tap beer and $5 Bacardi drinks from 9 p.m, til midnight. And you can’t beat a place that offers a fireplace, especially during the cold days of February. 100 Deer Park Ave., 631-587-5081. Open seven days a week for dinner, and lunch everyday except Monday. Prices $$.
