What you need to know about hosting an event at Kinston Country Club The following policies have been established by the KCC Board of Directors and Club Management for anyone hosting an event at Kinston Country Club.

*Amounts apply to Saturdays (during the day when the clubhouse is not normally open). Any function with entertainment requires Clubhouse closing. A $300 furniture moving fee may apply to your function. KCC allows four (4) hours for a private event. There is a fee of $150 per hour for events that go beyond four (4) hours.
DEPOSITS A deposit of $500 (or $1,000 when a Non-Member requests use of the entire Clubhouse) for all events is required with the signed contract at the time you schedule your function and reserve the Club. All deposits are nonrefundable and are applied to your final balance.
CANCELLATIONS Cancellations within 90 days of a scheduled private party are subject to a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the estimated charges. All deposits are non-refundable.
GUARANTEES A guaranteed guest count is required two business days prior to the event. Should your actual number of guests in attendance be LESS than your guaranteed number, the guaranteed number will be charged. Should the number of guests that attend be MORE than your guaranteed number, you will be charged for the ACTUAL number that attends. Certain food and beverage minimums may apply.
PAYMENTS Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice for your event and may be requested in advance for non-members. Unpaid charges will be billed to the sponsoring member’s account. Failure to pay the outstanding balance by the last day of the month will result in the imposition of a late fee of 1.5% of your total outstanding balance each month. Acceptable methods of payment are cash, personal check, cashier’s check or money order.
PRICING The prices in our menus are based on market conditions and are subject to change. All published prices are subject to North Carolina State Sales Tax and 20% Service Charge.

Do you allow non-Members to hold private parties at Kinston Country Club? Yes, we allow non-Members to hold functions provided that they have a Member sponsor to introduce them to the Club.

How many guests can your facility hold? Generally speaking, KCC can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated dinner and up to 400 for a standing cocktail/hors d’oeuvres reception.

Can I bring in my own caterer and/or food or beverages? No, KCC rules state that the Club must provide all food and beverage served at our facility. We do, however, allow wedding cakes from outside vendors.

Are there any minimums that I have to spend in order to use your facility? Yes, there are minimums and you will find them listed on page two.

Do I have to use particular vendors at your facility? We can provide as little or as much coordination as you like for your event. We will be happy to suggest vendors, such as florists, cake bakers, bands, DJs, photographers, videographers, etc. We also reserve the right to prohibit club access to certain vendors.

Is having a cash bar an option? A cash bar is an option for some types of events, however it is customary that bar charges are billed to the host’s account.

What if I want a particular food item that is not on your banquet menu? Just ask about any item that does not appear on our banquet menus. Our culinary team is very accommodating regarding special menu requests. While we feel that our banquet menu offers a wide range of selections, we welcome the opportunity to serve your special needs and requests.

What is the best way for me to see the Clubhouse? Because we are not open to the general public, we ask that you call in advance and make an appointment. The Club’s General Manager will be more than happy to assist you. Q: A:
How far in advance do I need to book my event? We take reservations up to 18 months in advance. Please be aware that there are certain times of the year that historically have been in higher demand than others. The sooner you can secure your reservation, the better.
