1959 Sons of Italy Foundation (SIF) established as the philanthropic arm of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, the nation’s oldest and biggest organization for people of Italian heritage.

2010 The Charles Evans Foundation, formed by EvanPicone fashion house co-founder Charles Evans, selects the SIF to receive a quarter-million-dollar endowment to establish the perpetual Charles Evans Scholarship.
