Yolanda Cellucci FASHION ENTREPRENEUR
THE 2021 SIF EXCELLENCE IN BUSINESS AWARD
Yolanda Cellucci is a successful, self-made businesswoman, fashion visionary, and stylist, noted philanthropist, and celebrated personality of the Massachusetts community. Known as “Fashion’s First Lady,” Yolanda’s legendary career in the world of fashion spanned over fifty years. She both set and defied fashion trends, while also blazing a trail for women in the retail and fashion industries. In 1968, she opened her first store in Belmont, Massachusetts, with only seven dresses and a handful of wigs. Within five years, she expanded her business and opened her iconic salon in Waltham. This multimillion dollar empire included a bridal boutique, full service beauty salon, and a health spa, incorporating the Total Woman concept. For many decades, she provided top notch service and exquisite bridal and couture designs by many of the top names in the world of fashion. She was known for producing fantastic over-the-top fashion shows which made her a favorite guest on local and national television shows. Vogue described Yolanda’s Salon as a place “Where Beautiful Lifestyles Begin,” which became the slogan for the business. After 50 years in business, Yolanda’s Salon finally closed its doors. Residing in Watertown, Massachusetts, she currently hosts her own show, Yolanda Style & Glamor, on WCAC-TV and works as a personal shopper, speaker, and fashion consultant. She has published a memoir based on her life and career in the world of fashion, and has begun a series of children’s books dedicated to the memory of her daughter Linda. Yolanda is the mother of Linda and Sondra, devoted wife to Dan, and a proud member of the Italian-American community. Yolanda serves on numerous boards and is a tireless advocate and active supporter of charitable and organizations. She has received countless awards and recognitions for her philanthropic contributions and leadership over the years, and her commitment to humanitarian causes has been commended by many Italian-American organizations.
