A LETTER FROM THE EDITOR I want to start off by saying, I'm overwhelmed by the amount of support and love ORENDA Magazine has gotten over the past couple 3 months. Since COVID-19 started, I wanted to find a new way of giving creatives a new platform to display their talents and inspired by LUCY'S and so many other digital magazines, I decided to start one. In these past couple months, I've gotten to meet some incredibly talented creatives and so many of them have such incredible work. We got a total of a little over 250 submissions, even after we closed our submissions. This volume of ORENDA Magazine is themed "MERAKI" which means to put some of yourself in your work. We asked creatives to send us a collection of their work for us to publish that best represented them and their work. I'm excited for the future of ORENDA Magazine, and I hope those reading this enjoy the talent of the 90+ creatives incorporated in this volume.

"I make rap music but it’s more like soft or lofi really, nothing real hype or anything, just chill stuff. I got into music because I had just met someone named Edward Morfin and he said he could produce and mix music for me, and I had never thought about music seriously prior, so I said why not and started with him. You can find my music on Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, Amazon Music, etc."

I believe that colors have a huge impact on others, and I feel it’s not used enough within street fashion. My goal has been to use my own art designs in a colorful way. I see the most dull clothing lines everywhere and don’t see why the never thought of it as dull in the first place. Vibrancy tells people a story as well as I do. Black and white is OVERRATED! Redbubble has been my favorite place to upload fine designs to the public and have been shipping orders all over the United States, and many other countries including the UK. I create clothes, art pieces, accessories, you name it I got it. I never thought this would be a second job for me, especially a job that I love. Something about creating artwork yourself and seeing others truly happy with it is a feeling like no other
M00dydesigns By: Bethany Moody @M00dydesigns
ABOUT: m00dydesigns is an embroidery business. I make custom made t-shirts, jumpers, hoodies and face masks. The audience for the business is anyone who loves to get creative. I am able to bring peoples designs to life and allow them to showcase their designs on material. In contrast, I create my own designs which I believe reach a range of audiences. Such as a One Direction collection WHY?: During lockdown I gained the skill of embroidering. I bought a pack of needles and some coloured thread and started my first project on a pair of jeans. This then made me realise the passion I have for embroidering and I knew I wanted to carry it on. Three months later, I have invested in an embroidery machine, in regular contact with wholesalers and have an instagram that is growing everyday. WHERE?: I have an Etsy page ‘m00dydesignsShop’, however most of my orders are made through instagram.

The focus of my business is to create unique pieces of jewellery, primarily with flowers encased in resin. All the flowers used are washed, dried and pressed by me. Every piece is thought-out and carefully made over 48 hours to ensure texture and optimum appearance. All packaging is recyclable, and I get all my resources from UK- based businesses to support our economy. I’ve always being inspired by art and creativity. I’m an engineering student, so my life is mainly maths and physics. I don’t get to express my passion for design often. This is the biggest motivation for me to start this business. I get to put art and design and my passion for flowers together into beautiful pieces of jewellery that I can be proud of. People can shop through my Depop shop (@blossometbloom) I have new additions every week!
