Introduction OrgSync facilitates engagement by connecting students to organizations, departments, and programs. Our web-hosted platform creates an online community for the St. John’s University campus. Registration & Login In order to join organizations you must create an OrgSync account online. Login orgsync.com/login After you’ve registered, locate the 'Browse Organizations' button on the community home. The resulting page provides a list of all the organizations registered in your community. You can search this list by name or keyword. It can also be filtered to show organizations under a specific umbrella or category. Join an Organization To learn more about a particular organization and possibly join it, click on their logo. If the organization is not set to 'Invite Only,' a join button will appear on the left-side of the page.

Academic Organizations
Advertising Club St. John's Ad Club serves students interested in the advertising industry by keeping members updated with current information from within the industry. This includes information about upcoming conferences and events, internship opportunities, and industry insight. Our goal is to continue to establish and further develop mentoring programs with professionals working in the industry, and expose members to networking opportunities. We encourage all Advertising majors to attend our meetings to help prepare for your future in advertising. Advertising Club functions like a 'real world' advertising agency, giving its members roles such as, media planning, creative and account management, as they develop and execute campus-‐wide campaigns. American College of Healthcare Executives The American College of Healthcare Executives student chapter at St. John's University is decided to helping health and human services majors as well as healthcare informatics majors to create a strong network. ACHE is a national organization of over 44,000 members who are working professionals in the healthcare industry. As a student chapter we connect with this national network to help develop students career plans, introduce them to opportunities, and discuss relevant topics. APhA-‐ASP The mission of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-‐ASP) is to be the collective voice of student pharmacists, to provide opportunities for professional growth, to improve patient care, and to envision and advance the future of pharmacy. Biology Student Organization Our organization goal is to inform all members about the many possible opportunities they posses as a biology major. We are here to show them they have no limits and give them information to guide them to their success. We are a community of hard workers who know how to have fun, yet have a tremendous work ethic. We strive to give our members comfort and advice on success.
Criminal Justice Association We provide students that are majoring in Criminal Justice and provide them with internships and advice from alumni and professionals within the Criminal Justice field. We enhance their overall experience. Gamma Iota Sigma (Actuarial Science and Risk Management Honors Society) Gamma Iota Sigma is an international, business fraternity for Risk Management, Insurance, and Actuarial students. It allows students to begin building their network now through alumni events, conferences all over the country, and so much more. This organization also enjoys giving back through community service and the ambassador program where students go to high schools to talk about the insurance industry. Gamma Iota Sigma can enhance your life from resume building to potential job opportunities. Lambda Kappa Sigma (Women’s Pharmacy Organization) Lambda Kappa Sigma is the largest, professional organization for women in Pharmacy. We pride ourselves on up-‐keeping academic standing as well as putting in our time to help the community, all while maintaining professionalism. We participate in events such as Healthy Halloween, Breast Cancer Walks, Relay for Life, and hold many continuing education events where we ask guest speakers to educate the Chapter on a topic. Lambda Kappa Sigma is the center where professionalism, community service, and close relationships between members meet. Math Club The Math Club is organized for the specific purpose of fostering awareness and appreciation of mathematics as both an intellectual pursuit and as an extra-‐curricular activity. Phi Alpha Delta Pre-‐Law Fraternity Phi Alpha Delta Pre-‐Law Fraternity focuses on helping students determine whether or not they would like to attend law school. Our Fraternity aims to provide events such as LSAT workshops, law school application, networking events, and so many more. Our members have the opportunity to attend National Conferences, Leadership Symposia and Pre-‐Law Conferences.
Public Relations Student Society of America We are a pre-‐professional organization that aims to bridge the gap between public relations student to professional. Our members are passionate about their careers and are taking the right steps to better themselves. Our organization is relatively young on campus but we want to thrive, build our membership and succeed on campus. Speech and Hearing Association The Speech & Hearing Association is an official chapter of the National Speech Language Hearing Association. Our goals as an organization are to: (1) encourage professional interest in the study of Communication Sciences and Disorders; (2) promote networking with peers and professors; and (3) foster a close-‐knit community of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology majors on campus. Tau Omega Chi – Toxicology Club We are an organization available to all Toxicology majors (and other students who have interest). We host community service events and social events with mentors as well as help students by organizing trips to various conventions that regard Toxicology. We are the only student resource available to toxicology majors and do out best to keep students interested in Toxicology. Student Chapter of Clinical Pharmacy (SCCP) Our organization focuses primarily on spreading awareness of the various pharmacy professions of which we focus on clinical pharmacy. Each month we host an event in which we meet with our members but also hold clinical workshops each month in order to improve our knowledge and skills in our profession. This helps us stand out from the other pharmacy organizations in that we help build up everyone's skills regardless of their year in pharmacy school. Furthermore, our peer mentoring program allows us to learn from the students in the years above us as well. We work alongside other pharmacy organizations to encourage people to learn more about the changing world of pharmacy. Actuarial Club The Actuarial Club at St. John's University aims to excel at underclassmen acclimation, professional development, and academics. We design our club and our Executive Board in a way to bolster the involvement and assimilation of freshmen and sophomore. We create speaker events and bring in faculty to talk specifically about the ways to obtain success in the actuarial workforce (as well as what the major actually entails). We host study groups designed to assist students with the rigorous actuarial exams.
Honor Society
Alpha Kappa Delta -‐Sociology Honors Society Alpha Kappa Delta seeks to acknowledge and promote excellence in scholarship in the study of sociology, the research of social problems, and such other social and intellectual activities as will lead to improvement in the human condition. Beta Alpha Psi Beta Alpha Psi is an international honorary and service organization for accounting, finance, and information systems students. It provides opportunities for development of technical and professional skills to complement university education; participation in community service; and interaction among students, faculty, and professionals. Our organization sponsors weekly events with accounting and finance professionals to allow for networking and to foster stronger ties with firms. Gamma Kappa Alpha – Italian National Honor Society We are an Honor Society of students that live and breathe Italian culture. For us, it's not just about the food and the art, it is about consistently learning more about what it means to be Italian, but to study the past and learn from it. It is an elite group of individuals who truly grasp the higher learning provided by our Italian department. Phi Alpha Theta -‐History Honors Society We are an academic honor society whose focus is history. Phi Alpha Theta is an important network within the history department because we facilitate academic and social relationships between both undergraduate and graduate students. The study assistance we provide works to ease a new history student into the field but also support more advanced students. The community created and nurtured by PAT goes a long way to developing future professional relationships within the field of history. Psi Chi Psychology Honors Society Psi Chi is a psychology honor society. Our chapter is celebrating its 50th anniversary this spring. We provide networking opportunities within the Psychology Department, as well as helpful information and events for psychology majors throughout the year. We often collaborate with the Student Psychology Association to host academic events such as lectures and research presentations. We also host casual events such as movie nights, and service opportunities such as midnight runs.
Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honors Society Alpha Psi Omega is the National Honor Society for Theatre. It gives students the opportunity to become well-‐rounded in the art of theatre on a variety of levels through performing, producing, directing, designing, sound, lighting and other aspects. We are proud that we are an organization that lives by our motto, "Seek A Life Useful", both by serving the community and serving each other. Alpha Psi Omega takes theatre to a whole new level in that it is not for those who consider theatre just a hobby, but it is for those who love theatre, take our shows and season seriously and value the responsibility and honor that it is to be a part of such a prestigious national organization. Rho Chi Pharmacy Honors Society Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society consists of members who are the brightest future Pharmacists in all of St. John's University. We pride ourselves on hosting programs that are enjoyable yet also focused on professional development. We are in the midst of extending our outreach to the younger classes (1st -‐ 3rd Year Pharmacy Majors) to get them involved in our programs and excited about Rho Chi. Watson Pre-‐Health Honor Society This organization serves as resource for students who are looking to go in to the health fields after their undergraduate studies. We provide with the tools and information they may need to apply to schools, develop resumes, summer internships, and much more. We are an aid for them in anyway possible seeing that we do not have a distinct Pre-‐Health program here like many other universities.
Special Interest
Circle K International Circle K International is an international service organization building leaders through fellowship and service. We have chapters all over the world, and so we serve as a great way to network and make connections. Membership is open to all those in the collegiate level. Leadership is available on the home club, district, national and international levels. Habitat for Humanity Our organization is committed to help change the world into a better place. We are well organized and very welcoming. We're very social and active, giving our members lots of opportunities to become involved. Sequoya Literary and Arts Magazine Sequoya is one of the oldest publications on campus. We strive to publish one magazine by the end of each Spring semester to display the wonderful creative side of St. John's students. We've also been attempting to build a larger community. Student Athlete Advisory Committee SAAC is a special interest organization consisting of representatives from all SJU athletic teams. The goal functions of SAAC are to promote communication between athletic administration and student-‐athletes, disseminate information, provide feedback and insight into SJU athletic department issues, generate a student-‐athlete voice within SJU athletics department formulation of policies, build a sense of community within the athletics program involving all athletic teams, solicit student-‐athlete responses to proposed conference and NCAA legislations, organize community service efforts, create a vehicle for student-‐ athlete representation on campus-‐wide committees, and promote a positive student-‐athlete image on campus. The Animal Rights Association (TARA) The Animal Rights Association is a special interest student organization dedicated to serving local animal shelters and educating students about issues related to animal rights, animal care, and animal appreciation. The organization has many facets, including shelter volunteering, collaboration with outside activist groups, education for vegetarian lifestyles, and a friendly community for animal appreciation
Religious Organizations
Catholic Student Community Bonded by our common religious traditions, Catholic Student Community teaches and empowers its members to grow in theiCatholic faith and friendships within a welcoming and supportive environment. CSC is an opportunity for prayer and conversation with others who love their Catholic faith and share similar values and beliefs. Through our three pillars of faith, fellowship, and service, we enter a journey of exploration and growth as a community that represents a piece of the larger St. John's community. Grace Fellowship (Chinese Christian Fellowship) Grace Fellowship is a place where students can come together to learn more about God and share any concerns or question about Christianity. We can come together to sharing our testimonies and learn and encourage each other. Through various activities such as Bible Study, prayer meeting, movie day and game day, students can bond together and learn more about each other. Muslim Students Association The purpose of the Muslim Students Association is to serve Allah in the best way possible in accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah. The attainment of practical knowledge of Islam, the fostering of amiable relations with fellow students, the promotion of academic responsibility, and the provision of a social atmosphere of unity and harmony shall be guiding principles of this organization. St. Vincent de Paul Society We at St. Vincent de Paul Society are one conference of thousands located all around the world. As a college conference, our goal is to serve others with, "the strength of our arm and the sweat of our brow," as St. Vincent himself put it. In addition, we keep in mind the 5 Vincentian virtues of: humility, simplicity, gentleness, mortification, and zeal, and try to serve the poor with the fire of love that was in St. Vincent's heart. They may be little acts of service, but what makes us different than the rest of the campus that does service is that we serve with a complete Vincentian mindset and are able to come together as a family to emulate St. Vincent, who emulated Christ. Students for Life We promote the Right to Life cause from the lens of the Catholic Church. We believe in life from conception to natural death. Our main focus is the sanctity of life.
Cultural Organizations
African Students Association ASA is a cultural organization that not only unites Africans from the whole continent, but educates those willing to learn about the various cultures found in Africa. We celebrate our continent through hard work, academic achievement, and serving our St. John's community. Our general body continues to grow and diversify itself. Avaaz Avaaz is unlike other religious groups because we want to defy the boundaries of religion that separate us, and instead celebrate these differences to unify the community. We also want to put these values in action by being social activists to change our community for the better of all. Chinese Cultural Association CCA is an organization that is open to all members of the St. John's community who are interested in the Chinese culture. We host many cultural, social, and educational activities throughout the year and foster a sense of unity and pride among our members. Haitian Society Haitian Society is an organization that celebrates and shares Haitian culture. From dance, to food, to the language, all people are welcome to the Haitian experience. At the same time, other cultures are invited to contribute and share their culture creating a whole society with a Haitian perspective. Indian Sub-‐continent Student Organization We are a cultural organization. We celebrate the Hindu traditions and Christian traditions, the music, movies, and food. Since India has many religions, cultures, and states we try to celebrate the major holidays or events that St. Johns wouldn't recognize. That being said with the Christians in the organization they realize since we go to a Catholic-‐Christian school most of their celebrations we are off and cannot really celebrate. Latin American Student Organization Latino American Student Organization otherwise known as L.A.S.O. is a place for all Latinos and non-‐Latinos in St John's who want to belong to the most united organization on campus. To make a difference and to continue to grow helping each other succeed.
Philippines Americans Reaching Everyone P.A.R.E. seeks to educate its members and others of Filipino cultural values as well as spread awareness of current events in the Philippines. P.A.R.E. embraces the Filipino heritage and shares its traditions with the community. P.A.R.E. also strives to help the greater community through active service both within and outside of St. John's University. Members of P.A.R.E. represent different cultures and this diversity strengthens the bonds within the organization. RAAZ RAAZ is an all girls South Asian dance team that competes all over the United States in South Asian dance collegiate competitions. It encompasses many different styles of dance including contemporary, hip hop, Bollywood, and Indian classical. Our purpose is to cultural awareness and unity of the diverse styles of dance, complex techniques, and ageless beauty of South Asian dance. It is a family of girls from all different backgrounds and cities that have been brought together because of their love for dance. Shruti Shruti is St. John's Only South Asian Fusion A Cappella Team and we strive to awareness to our culture as well as the talented students that have share the same passion as the team. We use our voices to express our passion for singing and our culture. While culture is a major factor with regards to our style of music, our team is open to everyone and we strive to expand our group even more to bring more awareness to the cultural diversity of this school.
Political Organizations
College Democrats Although the Democratic Party has its set ideology, we strive to create open environments in our general body meetings so that everyone's voice is heard. No opinion is discounted because it does not conform we the rest of the group because we understand that not every Democrat is deep blue, some are shades of purple, while others are shades of red. Our ultimate goal is to get student involvement because the more participation there is in our government, the better it will function. College Republicans College Republicans exists to educate and spread the message of the Republican Party amongst college students on campus. We strive to make as great an impact possible on local, city, state and federal elections.
