We Clean Valuable Rugs
“Never clean this rug” was good advice when traditional rug washing was your only option. Revita is not traditional rug washing. Revita revitalizes rugs, purging them of dirt, bacteria, dust mites, allergens, stains and odors. No harsh chemicals. In fact, Revita removes the toxic residue left by previous rug cleaners and gently strips away the brittle calcium deposited in your rug by the well water they used. A revitalized rug is softer, richer and healthier than ever before.
Utterly clean. You’ll smile when you see and feel the difference. Revita is a new technology using ultra-purified water and purely organic additives to restore the life and vitality of area rugs, even the most delicate, antique silk Persians and Orientals. Miraculously, Revita costs about the same as traditional rug washing. But technology is always like that, isn’t it? Giving us safe, affordable solutions that were impossible only yesterday. Learn more at
revitaRUGS.com or call us at 855-573-8482

– Patching, weaving, re-dyeing and re-fringing are performed daily by our master conservators. Your rug is in expert hands with Revita. And our drivers and estimators are happy, friendly and college educated. What a company!

Kati Curtis FOR MANHATTAN DESIGNER
A RUG’S IMPERFECTIONS MAKE IT SPECIAL
For Manhattan interior designer Kati Curtis, a beautiful handmade decorative rug is an authentic work of art that finds no equal among its machine-made counterparts. “Finding a one-of-the-kind handmade rug, as opposed one that is mass produced, brings incomparable value and authenticity to an interior,” states the designer, a graduate of the renowned Savannah College of Art. Thanks to her academic training, Ms. Curtis has cultivated a passion for the decorative arts which she teaches at the New York School of Interior Design. It also nurtured her deep appreciation of handmade rugs, both antique and contemporary, from a esthetic, cultural, and sustainable design standpoint. For this Maine native transplanted in her teens to Asheville, NC—a self-avowed “half Yankee, half southern belle”— handmade decorative rugs play a pivotal role in her design philosophy where sustainable one-of-a-kind craft solutions are paramount. “It’s the imperfections in a handmade rug that make it special—it’s art,” comments Ms. Curtis whose international clientele has taken her all over the country and the world

A Salute To Past Presidents As our own Jeff DeSantis prepares to turn over the reins to a new ORIA president, it seemed an appropriate time to recognize the contribution that each of the 26 past association presidents have made to our organization. Each man made his mark—devoting precious time from his own business concerns—to further the goals and betterment of the industry as a whole. We thank them for their generous dedication and efforts.

MICHAELIAN & KOHLBERG, INC. 2-704, 706 Firm’s Market Highlights: Michaelian & Kohlberg will be showing a very special collection of rugs from the “MK Afghan Project.” This production is sanctioned through the U.S. Department of Defense to help restore Afghanistan to its former role as a leading exporter of handmade rugs and to sustain a traditional handicraft as well as a way of life which is vanishing in other parts of the world. Carpet weaving supports thousands of weavers, many of whom are women who have few other options for work. Carpet weaving, however, continues to be a cottage industry where the actual hand-weaving takes place largely in small rural villages, often in homes. These carpets are a bridge between a proud and rich heritage of artisans in Afghanistan and the Westerners who enjoy these beautiful carpets. Dealer Support Materials: Website: www.michaelian.com
