I abandoned my corporate life in Scotland for the Alpine dream in Morzine. It was a leap of faith, but here I am! There’s a really strong community and support network here in the Vallee d’Aulps, I’m proud to call this place home. I’ve never been part of a community that cares so much about the surrounding environment in addition to making visitors and guests feel so welcome upon arrival. It’s from here that La Box was born.

La Box is a curated welcome pack of high quality food products made by local artisans and I deliver them to your holiday accommodation in advance of your arrival. La Box gives you the tastes and smells of our wonderful valley, launching your holiday in a multi-sensory yet sustainable way. I collect, reuse or recycle every element of packing included in La Box. There are many talented, creative and artistic people here and I’m always looking to meet new suppliers who are passionate about their produce and sustainability.

Below I’ll introduce you to some of the makers, bakers and suppliers that currently feature in La Box. I hand-pick the contents based on seasonal availability and this summer I’ll add both a Brunch Box and a Luxury Box to my collection. Also, look out Chamonix and Verbier… La Box is coming soon!

Meet Rosie at Naturally Nuts - Rosie’s homemade peanut butter and chocolate spread are legendary in Morzine! Be warned, a lifetime’s supply will become essential!

"Hey, I'm Rosie, lover of all things nutty. After moving to the Valley in 2019, I found it difficult to find natural, tasty peanut made locally. Thus Naturally Nuts was born! I’m a firm believer that the best foods are often the simplest so I aim to create luxurious, mouthwatering blends handcrafted with just a few high-quality ingredients. We can help spread the word that food matters - to our health, our happiness and to the wellbeing of our planet.”

Meet Tasha at Fleur - I truly believe Tasha is Morzine's finest cookie maker! These cookies are mouth-wateringly delicious and I know you’re going to love them!

"Hi, I'm Tasha, a self-taught baker from Australia. During the first lockdown in France in March 2020, I used that time as an opportunity to refine my skills and completed a pastry course online with the renowned Puff The Bakery in London covering pastries, doughs, custards, chocolate, choux and soon to be viennoiserie. Working with La Box has been great fun to create the ultimate chocolate chip cookie for their customers!”

Meet Kat at Kitty’s Hot Sauce - I can honestly say, this is the best hot sauce I've ever tasted! Initially she just made it for friends, then over lunch one day we discussed her making it in batches for La Box. It’s too good not to share! "Hi, I'm Kat, a hot sauce lover who felt there wasn't anything on offer locally that was fruity with a kick. So I decided to make my own using locally supplied produce. After many trials, I reached the perfect recipe. I aim to ignite your taste buds with Kitty's Hot Sauce!”

Meet Frances at Froglet Paintings - Frances is a beautifully talented Alpine Artist. She’s recreated one of my own photos of Pointe d’Uble at sunrise and designed something very special for La Box for guests to take home.

"Whilst in the mountains, I've seen awesome sunrises, insane clouds and epic views. I try to capture the magic of those moments in paintings so I can remember it when I can't be outside, enjoying adventures. All of my paintings have stories behind them, I hope they’ll inspire you during your own holiday!”

Meet Bela & Jo at The Chef’s Cellar - Morzine's finest wine suppliers, I am super excited to work with these guys. I’m always spoiled for choice, but with their expert advice, we’ve selected three stunning wines that you are going to love!

"We are a Morzine based wine wholesaler supplying local bars, restaurants, chalet companies and La Box, as well as private clients. Joe is a professional chef and has spent over a decade working in the wine regions of France, pairing meals to carefully selected wines from local vineyards.”
