Enhanced hearing with enhanced beauty
El-egance El-egance is a different approach that transforms a hearing aid into a fashion accessory. El-egance allows manufacturers to marry sound and elegant control. The hearing devices and control rings are made with Argentium silver. Argentium sterling silver is a premium material because it contains germanium. The germanium provides the alloy with better tarnish resistance.

Deafinite is taking prostheses to another level. People aren’t hiding their handicap. Wear hearing aids like a piece of jewelry. Deafinite is the new accessory.
Deafinite Style Designaffairs Studio is a Germany-based designer who developed hearing aids. Deafinite Style not only provides hearing aid feature but also provides a trendy jewelry look. Featuring the new TriMic system, the accessory allows perfect positioning of the microphones. This makes the hearing aid efficient. The hearing aid is intended for individuals with medium level of hearing disability. For users with severe hearing damage they offer the PLUG that comes with a more powerful capacity.

Mobilegs Mobilegs is desgined by Jeff Weber originally a seat designer. His design inspiration came from his personal expirence with a typical crutch. The traditionally designed crutches lend themselves to more pain than comfort. Weber decided to take the matter into his own capable hands and create crutches that were both well-designed and affordable. The crutch is offered at two price brackets, Universal and Ultra, both use 42% less aluminum than the standard crutch.

Roca Emmanuel Carrillo’s senior thesis at the University of Cincinatti turns “disability” into “super ability”. Roca is a designed prosthetic for the sport of rock climbing. The functionality of the prostheic enables the user with advantages in their sport. During the design process he researched the aesthetic of the sport as well as what functions could be useful. He then went through multiple versions before coming up with the final design proposal.
