MVP: the Man and His Art wins gold

The elegant book that the First Pacific Group companies in the Philippines published for Manuel V Pangilinan’s 75th birthday won a gold award at the Stevies in August 2021. It showcases the fine artworks collected by First Pacific, PLDT, Smart, Meralco, MPIC and MVP over the years.

It was a well-deserved winner for the gold trophy in the Corporate Communications category. The book’s Executive Producer was Meralco CEO Ray C Espinosa, with Project Directors Tony Valdez, Debbie Tan and Daphne Doroja. It was written by Cid Reyes, edited by Debbie Tan, designed by Dopy Doplon and photographed by Richie Macapinlac. The Stevies jury commented to the Philippine Star, “The Meralco team did an excellent job related to the beautiful production that provides a snapshot of the art of the Philippines, culture and essence of the region … Congratulations. It is a beautiful coffee-table book honoring the country’s reputable company. Art is the way to bring the profile of the company to the next level.” <<
