MOTHER OF MERCY, Maria takes part in eminent degree of the divine mercy. Health of the patients, Refuge of the sinners. Consolation of the upset ones, aid of the Christians. A great multitude was following Jesus, and they go so dependent on his doctrine that they have been removing from the cities and villages, without having anything to eat. The Lord called then his disciples, and said to them: I feel deep pity for the crowd, because already for three days remain close to me and do not have what to eat; and if I dismiss them fasting to their houses they will get weak in the way, since some of them have come from distant view. The compassionate pity is, once again, what leads Jesus to realizing the extraordinary miracle of the multiplication of the breads and of the fishes. We must resort frequently to the divine mercy, because in his pity for us our salvation and safety is, and also we must learn to be compassionate with the others: This one is the way to attract with more readiness the God's favour. Our Mother Santa Maria reaches us constant the pity of her Son and teaches us the way of behaving before the needs of the men: God saves you, she reigns as Mother of Mercy ..., we have said to her so often. Probably as many Christians, one day a week, as today on Saturday, we come to her in a particular way, singing to her or saying this most former prayer. Maria " is the one that knows more thoroughly the mystery of the divine mercy. She knows her price and knows how highly is. In this respect we are called her A Mother of mercy: Virgin of the Mercy or Mother of the divine Mercy; In each of these titles a deep theological meaning shuts in itself, because they express the particular preparation of her soul, of all her personality, being able to see in first term across the complicated events of Israel, and of every man and of the humanity she informs later, that mercy of which we make ourselves participants for all the generations (Lc 1, 50), according to the eternal plan of the Holiest Trinidad " Saint Augustine teaches that the mercy is born of the heart and is taken pity on of the foreign, corporal or spiritual misery, in such a way that it hurts him and saddens as if it was own, going to putting - if it is possible - the opportune remedies to try to cure her (God's City). He(she) spills on others and takes the foreign as own faults and miseries and tries to free them of them. For this, he(she) says the Holy Writ that God is rich in mercy; and " it is more glorious for Him to extract well of the evil that to create something new of nothing; it is bigger to turn a sinner giving the life of the grace, that to there create of at all the whole physical universe, the sky and the land ". Jesus Christ, God done man, we find fully the expression of this divine mercy, demonstrated of many ways along the history of the salvation. He submitted in the Cross, in supreme act of compassionate Love, and now he exercises it from the SHeaven and in the Sacrarium, where he waits for us, in order that we are going to expose the own needs and the foreign ones. There is not such our Pontiff, who is unable to harmonize with our miseries (...). Let us go to him, so, trusting, to the throne of the grace, in order to reach mercy and to find the grace to be helped to the opportune time. What fruits of holiness it produces in the soul the frequent meditation of this divine invitation! Maria takes
part in eminent degree of this divine perfection, and in Her the mercy joins the mother's piety; She us leads always throne of the grace. The Mother's title of the Mercy, cattle with her consent in Nazareth and in the Calvary, is one of the major ones and more Maria's beautiful names. It is our consolation and our safety: " With her maternal love she looks after the brothers of her Son, that still(yet) they peregrinate and are situated in dangers and anxiety until they are led to the fortunate mother land. For this motive, the Holiest Virgin is invoked in the Church by the titles of Pleaded, Auxilliator, Help, Mediating ". Not even an alone day has stopped helping, protecting ourselves, interyielding us for our needs. The Mother's title of Mercy has expressed traditionally across these dedications: Health of the patients, Refuge of the sinners, Consoler of the upset ones, Aid of the Christians. "This gradation of the litanies is the most beautiful. It shows how Maria exercises her mercy on those that suffer in the body to treat it and how immediately afterwards it consoles it in their afflictions and makes them strong in the middle of all the difficulties that have to carry" Santa Maria waits for us as Health of the patients, because she obtains the healing of the body, especially when it is arranged that of the soul. Other times, she grants to us something more important than the corporal health: the grace of understanding that the pain, the physical evil, is A God's instrument. He waits that –we would convert, having accepted it with love - in a great good, which purifies us and allows us to obtain innumerable gifts for the whole Church. Across the disease, taken patiently and supernatural vision, we obtain a good part of the exchequer that we are going to find in the Heaven and abundant apostolic fruits: decisions of delivery to God and the persons' salvation that, without those graces, they had not found the door of the Heaven. The Virgin remedies us also of the wounds that the original sin left in the soul and that have aggravated the personal sins: the untidy greed, the weakness to realize the good. She strengthens those who hesitate, raises the fallen, helps to remove the glooms of the ignorance and the darkness of the mistake. The compassionate Virgin appears us as Refuge of the sinners. In her we find sure protection. Nobody after her Son has detested any more the sin than Santa Maria, but, far from rejecting the sinners, receives them, moves them to the repentance: in what a lot of Confessions She has intervened with a particular aid! Even she sends whom they are more remote them thank you of light and of repentance, and if they were not resisting they would be led of grace in grace up to reaching the conversion. "The one who will be able to investigate, so, oh blessed Virgin!, the length and latitude, the sublimity and depth of your mercy? Because her length reaches until her last hour those who invoke it. Her latitude fills the orb in order that all the land fills with her mercy". To her we come today, and ask her to have piety of our life. We say to her that we are sinful, but that we want to love increasingly her Son Jesus Christ; that has pity of our sluggishnesses and that it(he,she) helps them overcome. She is aA Refuge of the sinners and, therefore, our security, the sure port where we drop anchor after the waves and the opposite winds, where we repair the possible damages caused by
the temptation and our weakness. Her mercy is our protection and our peace: Santa Maria, Mother of God, begs for us sinful. �
The Virgin, Our Mother, was during all her life consolation of those that were walking afflicted by a too big weight alone they took it: she gave spirits to San Joseph that night in Bethlehem, when after explaining in a door and another the need of housing, she did not find any opened house. Maria's smile was enough to him to recover forces and to condition what she found: a stable to the suburbs of the people. And she helped him to go out forward in the fugue to Egypt, and to be established in that country... And, in spite of being a man full of fortress, there became to Joseph easier the fulfilment of the God's will by Maria's consolation. And the neighbours of Nazareth were finding always support and compression in a few words of the Virgin... The Apostles found protection in Maria when everything they turned black and senseless later that Christ expired in the cross. When they returned of burying the Body of Jesus and the peoples of Jerusalem were preparing themselves to celebrate in family the holiday of the Easter, the Apostles, who had not been present, were walking lost, and almost without realizing they were in Maria's house. Since then she has not left a moment to give consolation whom one feels oppressed by the weight of the sadness, of the loneliness, of a great pain. " She has sheltered to many Christians in the pursuit, liberated to many possessed and tempted souls, bran of the distress to many shipwrecked persons; she has attended and strengthened many dying persons reminding the infinite merits of her Son". If at some time they weigh the things, the life, the disease, the determination in the apostolic task, the effort for extracting the family improves, the obstacles that join and pile up, let's come to Her, in which always we will find consolation, breath and force to fulfil in everything the nice will of her Son. We will repeat him slow: God saves you, She reigns and Mother of Mercy, life, sweetness, our hope... In her we will learn to console and breathe, to exercise the mercy with whom we see that they need this big or small help - a word of stimulus, of condolence ...-that so pleasing is to the Lord. The Virgin is an aid of the Christians, because favoured principally those who are loved, and nobody loved any more to whom we form a part of the family of her Son. In Her we find all the graces to win in the temptations, in the apostolate, in the work... In the Rosary we find " powerful weapon". To overcome so many obstacles with which we go away to finding. Many people are the Christians in the world that, following the uninterrupted education of the Roman Pontiffs, they have introduced in their life of piety the habit of saying it daily: in their families, in the churches, for the street or in the means of transport."In Me one finds any grace of doctrine and indeed, any expectancy of life and of virtue (Eclo 24, 25). With what a lot of wisdom the Church has put these words in mouth of our Mother in order that the Christians we do not forget them! It is the safety, the Love that she never leaves, the constant opened refuge, the hand that caresses and consoles always".
