YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

About • Our 200-hour Orion Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training Course provides an in-depth exploration of the fundamentals of Vinyasa Yoga and Mysore Style (selfpractice) in the spirit of tradition of the parampara; teacher – student transmission. • This hands-on training will guide you step-by-step through each posture, transition, and sequence. • Study classical yoga philosophy with truly experienced teachers, build a solid foundation for your practice and acquire the skills to teach this style of dynamic yoga with precision and confidence.

IN THIS FOUR-WEEK YOGA TEACHER TRAINING COURSE, YOU WILL: • Deepen your yoga practice physically, mentally, spiritually and psychologically. • Equip yourself with the tools to confidently share your knowledge as a certified yoga teacher. • Learn exceptional hands-on teaching techniques and practical adjustments. • Learn how to count and lead with great flow and confidence. • Develop your own unique style of intuitive observation of the physical and emotional structure of your students, to confidently run Mysore program and other yoga classes in your studio. • Study traditional yoga philosophy and texts: Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, and works of Advaita Vedanta. • Learn pranayama, meditation, mantra, bandha, and kriya. • Understand correct alignment on our Iyengar rope wall.

TRANSFORM • Throughout your 200-hour YTTC, you will learn two distinct but complementary styles of yoga – Orion Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga. • These two styles in combination will bring balance to your practice by combining an active (Yang) and a passive (Yin) practice. • Restorative Yoga is a meditative yoga practice with slow, gentle and rocking movements. • You will learn how to create a sequence that is deeply nourishing and guide students in a gentle transition from one asana (pose) to another by flowing seamlessly into a relaxing, deeply de-stressing and contemplative practice.

TRANSFORM • Through breath, the rhythm of the count and movement you will build a deep focus which manifests as a state of tranquility in the mind. • Get to know the art of vinyasa flow (Tristana), learn perfect alignment in each pose and discover the joy of teaching challenging transitions so that you feel confident enough to guide your students on their path towards a real understanding of the Yoga practice on and off the mat. • Experience dynamic meditation through movement and find an equilibrium between mind, body, and soul. • Learn the art of intuitive touch and technical adjustment and understand how bodywork can become a vehicle for spiritual transformation.

BALANCE • Here you can develop a balanced lifestyle – one of wholesomeness, creativity, balance, and confidence. • At Orion, we encourage students to enhance the benefits of the yoga practice by cultivating a calm mind and meditative state through a Sattvic diet, eating plant-based foods, inspired by one of the core ethical guidelines of yoga – ‘ahimsa’ (non- violence). • Eating at our famous vegan and raw café will demonstrate the benefits of a yogic diet immediately. Locally sourced, fresh and organic – our menu offers a wide selection of drinks, smoothies, breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
