WELCOME TO ORLANDO BALLET’S 2014/2015 SEASON This season celebrates new beginnings as we take stage at the new, state-of-the-art Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing arts with one of ballet’s beloved classics, a new installment of a fan favorite, as well as a new presentation. our season kicks off in January of 2015, with the production of Swan Lake, followed by a new installment of one of our popular original works, Battle of the Sexes, and concludes with my adaptation of Coppélia, one of ballet’s light-hearted comedies. young ones, while engaging the adults. This season, we present Peter & The Wolf, The Swan Princess, The Magical Princess Doll, and of course our popular Family Series version of The Nutcracker. this art form, by staging both familiar as well as new works. We hope that this reinforces our loyal fans’ love of ballet, while educating and creating new audiences. In what you have come to expect from us, we will continue to feature new choreography, bring guest choreographers and artists, in developing new works. We will also offer additional productions that you may add to your subscription package. Back by popular demand, Vampire’s Ball returns in october, to Bob Carr Theater, just in time for the seasonal fanfare and spookiness that is in the air. of course, the holiday season would not be the same without our production of The Nutcracker featuring live orchestration, debuting at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing arts. our popular behind-the scenes explorations of choreography in Uncorked!, will continue at The abbey downtown, as well as a Choreographers’ Showcase our collaboration with Cirque Du Soleil. Set to Tchaikovsky’s powerful Swan Lake score, and based on the Russian folk tale of a young princess transformed into a swan by a vengeful sorcerer, this production promises an enchanting look at the classic romance.

at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Robert Hill’s adaptation of ballet’s light-hearted comedy will capture one’s imagination as the lines between real and fantasy become blurred in this delightful love story.
FAMILY SERIES These one-hour productions are designed with young audiences in mind, and promise exquisite story telling through the perfect combination of world-class ballet, opulent sets, and costumes. Families can enjoy arts and crafts, face painting and other activities an hour before each performance.

at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts The story of Princess odette, who has been magically transformed into a swan and her everlasting love prevails against evil.
The magical priNcess Doll May 2
at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts This abbreviated version of the Mainstage production of Coppélia, has been adapted into a one-hour performance in which a magical doll takes life in dance and whimsy.
SPECIAL PERFORMANCES Vampire’s Ball October 17 - 19
at Bob Carr Theater audiences will thrill at the return of this original fan favorite, as it opens another season for orlando Ballet. Rife with familiar Halloween themes and elements, it features choreography by artistic Director Robert Hill and a vast cast of zombies and vamps that will guide you through this spooky and camp journey in dance.
The NuTcracker December 19 - 21
at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts When Clara receives a toy nutcracker from her godfather on Christmas eve she is transported on a magical journey complete with the Mouse King, Sugar Plum Fairy, and Mother Ginger. This perennial holiday favorite is the full-length production and is accompanied by the orlando Philharmonic orchestra.
