Music Lessons

Discovery School of Music

Private 30-minute lessons available for all ages and ability levels. Our highly-qualified instructors create lessons to fit each student’s abilities and interests. Registration guarantees the same lesson time for the entire school year, and you will be billed monthly. A Discovery School of Music Private Music Lesson Handbook and lesson schedule will be sent via email after registration.

Instructor lesson openings are listed online at www.oronocommunityed.com. If a time is already taken, that section will be listed as full. You can read biographies on each instructor to find the one with a specialty and a schedule that is right for you. If you are unsure of which instructor to pick or cannot find a time online that works, please email CEinfo@orono.k12.mn.us and you will be contacted to discuss your needs. Depending on instructor availability, lessons can begin at anytime during the school year.

Kindergarten - Adult Annual Registration Fee: $15 Tuition Fee: $29 per 30-minute lesson (Billed monthly)

The number of lessons will vary each month depending on the day of the week you have lessons. Lessons take place at the Discovery Center in Maple Plain. Room locations will be emailed to those registered. Please refer to the handbook for more information.

2022-23 Lesson Dates: September 12 - May 5

Lessons will follow the school district calendar and will not be held during school breaks/holidays.

INSTRUCTOR HIGHLIGHT

Constantine (Daniel) Georgakopoulos is a 2016 graduate of the University of St. Thomas where he earned a double Bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education and Music Performance for the clarinet. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Music Education. Daniel has worked with students of all ages and abilities, from Kindergarten to graduate level. He is currently teaching virtual lessons only through the Discovery School of Music.
